They just repeat it in the tech sheet - SE claims that but it is a lie!!!!!
Look up TFT technology vs. OLED!!!!!
TFT suck so much power.....
Several phones havew 1400-1500mAh batteries!!!!
SE claims 1000mAh ONLY!!! It is probably 900mAh.
IT IS A BAD JOKE!!! for this large TFT screen.
The sound quality is bad even for the bias GSMARENA reviewer!!!!
The video only VGA!!!!

And FYI, gsmarena says that VGA recording is the best in Satio, the TFT is bright and clear, and the taktime is 11hours which is really long. SE phones has these really cool, sexy, and funky design that are reliable with the best imaging and music experience ever. SE's going up now. And that upcoming XPERIA X3 with 1GHZ processor, muti-touch large display, and a lot more of those stuff is way cool. Those Samsung bricks will now be outdated and always be ugly!

And the price is actually quite reasonable for their really cool features and those funky designs which are way cool which are reliable. The Omnia has sorta the same thing used but its features are way less. No Xenon, Open GL, interface is f*ckin ugly, and the design is so.. yuck!

Indeed, the megapixel war has ended. A new war is about to begin when camphone will fight using optical zooms and bigger sensors. But still, SE still have their strong points. For example, they produce the best music phone to date. Don't believe me? Check out w995. Secondly, their interface layout is very pleasing to the eye though it's just a gimmick =P And ya, SE is famous for producing handsets which have long talktime and this is a great advantage.
But it's biggest drawback would have to be mediocre camera performance, unrealiable(e.g k850i, c905i etc), lack of 3.5mm jack,no mico/mini USB port and also cost way too much for mediocre build and feature. The satio is made up mainly of plastic so I don't see any reason why it should it priced at 500 euro. Omnia HD which has more or less the same build quality can be obtained at the cheaper price.
If SE really wish to shine again, then it seriously need to look at themselves and start to take drastic action to tackle consumers complains.

Very good phone. It beats the Samsung Pixon12 Hands on for Versatility, Design, Camera (Who cares?, it's a phone) and usability, UI the Satio clearly wins hands down.
Samsung have created hype over the Pixon12 but really that phone isn't as Versatile and usable as this Satio!

it is a very basic model, but reliable!
LG makes some good phones!
SE can not keep up with technology! No quality control!
ALL manufacturing is outsourced - so even a decent design can not be wekk made . but where is the decent design?

Disappointing, which i hate to say being a sony fan. Greatest weakness was always going to be/and is the operating system. Glitchy and slow, eg same as nokia 5800 when turning from portrait to landscape in sms etc the screen just goes blank which considering when bugdet stuff like the s5230 can do it quick and easy. Hardware is mega but the build feels cheap and tacky. The mega pixel wars are over, things have changed.

I tried this and it states I have the latest software so just had to deal with the fact that the audio quality from recording videos is terrible I must add this might only be ones sold by Vodafone todo with whatever custom software they add.
Fingers crossed it might get better in future up updates as maybe they just need to raise the mic volume but when you compare to N95 audio from videos its embarrasing how poor it really is.

Anyone having problems with the camera? Mine struggles to focus and gets blurred pictures, especially at night. But also, it gets strange circles/dots both in good and bad light. Its going back, but I don't know whether or not to try another.

To all you doubting thomas:
I have had my Satio for nearly 3 weeks now and it is everything i expected it to be. No problems at the moment and i am still getting used to the S60 area of things.
Being a new device S60v5 the apps will come soon and i wont need to FORCE incompatible software into the phone. (i am sure thats why some people are having their issues)
10/10 IMHO - Keep it up Sony Ericsson : YOU ROCK!!
