Hi guys and galls, i just bought my satio(Sim Free) from Carphone Warehouse(Southend-on-sea) for £499.95.
The battery is a BST-33 - 1000mAh 3.6Wh

I've just found the SAR values on the UK official SE website:
SAR data information for residents in countries that have
adopted the SAR limit recommended by the International
Commission of Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), which
is 2 W/kg averaged over ten (10) gram of tissue (for example
European Union, Japan, Brazil and New Zealand):
The highest SAR value for this model phone when tested by
Sony Ericsson for use at the ear is 1.58 W/kg (10g).
What a shame...!

hey every1 just gt my idou. its simply an amazing experience!!!!!!!!!! batery life rox, the camera n featurez.............its a must buy 4 u all. btw i hav wid me iphne 3gs and n97 both r v inferior to ths beast!

Have always been a huge fan, defender & user of SE phones. But I must admit I'm very very very disappointed with the new cells and thei commercial politics:
Wait a very long time for a product that is not top notch as they seemed to claim...
Did you know there is no equalizer in the music player...?
What is the SAR Value? => impossible to find it on the net...
I love SE must I must admit that Samsung in going the good way while SE the wrong one...
Waiting for the Satio, I've been using the Samsung Star which is a cheap phone but fun and great to use...
Time when SE was 2 steps forwards (K750-W810) is far behind us !

GSMarena writes that Satio support up to 32 Gb Micro SD Card. SE Writes that it supports SanDisk which largest card is 16 Gb. Where did the last 16 Gb go?

A higher capacity battery, better screen, 3.5mm jack, xvid/divx support and most importantly a bigger internal memory...all these could only justify it's high price.
Yes we can always get a camcorder for better video, buy high capacity microSD card for storage, or even pay for some application to play divx/xvid videos. Now these are extra burden that SE is forcing it's users to bear. Why not price it around 600 USD then? I wouldn't mind if it's cheaper. But that's not the case. I think you can't see this basic logic and claiming other are talking crap. Think it over again!

Don't judge with the value. It is quite energy efficient.

A. Actually Mega Pixels is not about quality but size, 12MP is bigger size than 8MP so we can get more clearer detail picture when we zoom closer the picture than 8MP and also we can get a bigger wallpaper or photograph than 8MP.
Q. So how about with the picture quality ?
A. Picture Quality of this idou camera is great because Sony Ericsson use new CMOS sensor from EXMOR ( IMX060PQ, a 1/2.5 CMOS image sensor ) apparently, has the industry's highest Megapixel count: 12.25 MP with highest quality right now.it can record 1080p @ 27 fps and 720p @ 30fps video too.

A. Yes. It can because the camera quality it self can record full HD video quality as long as the phone has processor speed and storage are also capable of the same speed.

A. it means SE doesn't use the camera at full quality and don't worry it must be highest VGA video quality in the world and doesn't make idou to be more expensive than use HD Video.

I am thinking of ordering this phone for a few reasons one being the Cemera and video recorder.
QUESTION FOR ANYONE THAT HAS THE PHONE- How does the video recording quality/Audio compare to my current phone Nokia N95 which is also VGA 30fps and exellent quality.
Only video I could see on youtube was

Quality looks not bad but not as good as Nokia N95 would I be right?
I love Sony Ericsson phones and really want to return as a customer so if someone can please help I would really appreciate.

Anonymous, 13 Oct 20093.5mm jack is challenging for Se for years now :)))) SE had a 2.5mm jack on their p800 in 2003 and i dont know why they ditched it. So dont think SE finds it hard to put a 3.5mm jack on a phone.

Find the phone that fits your expectation and needs!
I think Idou/Satio certainly falls óshort of the market expectation.
There are more and more potential and real buyers express their disappointment.
Old design, with limited and outdated specs:
internal memory
VGA video
etc.
no Divx ....
no 3.5mm jack ...
AS I have said months ago - Idou will be outdated at the time of release! and IT IS!

I think the iphone 3gs is better than this one.
