I agree: N900 will take away potential customers from Idou - much more powerful, less much less buggy, more user friendly and it will cost about the same.

due to:
lens
CCD
and electronics hardware
and software
Phones can not match the quality of digital cameras.
No fool would argue that Omnia HD match HD quality to a HD camcorder - except you? :)))
Yes, it is not released yet! But someof the specs are!!!!!!!!!
and revirews are also availble that tells the specs!
I base my OPINION in the SPECS!
TODAY TFT screen is outdated for a top model cell phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Low quality - especially contrast
and draws too much power!!!!
and the top of it SE includes a louse 1000mAh battery!!!!!
128MB internal memory when phones are available with 16GB!!!! and 32GB!!!!!
also not acceptable for me for a top model!
If Idou will sell for 300 USD in that case it is forgivable.
But it will be much more expensive!
So, get the fact and argue later! :)))

Who knows, this phone might take really good pictures then a digital camera. Since the final version isn't really released yet, you can't tell right away that it is lousy!

You have no clue about photography!
Idou can not match even the quality of a lousy camera.
12mp is totally useless.
it is not the resolution 8mp vs 12mp that makes the picture better - but color accuracy, distortion, etc.
I take a great quality 5mp over any 12mp Satio picture.
12mp for poster print but Satio can not make good enough pictures for a poster besides resolution.

I'd rather have external memory than internal anyways. What if you want to print your pictures in store? All you have to do is give your memory card rather than your phone. This is a camera phone right? So i think it's kinda better that way.
