yet it is a prototype...4 months are left...and if se saw that Pixon12 quality is better they have time to improve it...se is smart!...

wow by 12MP camera i can see more detail picture when you zoom it at many time and clearer than 8MP

The most important factor & the main difference from the Omnia HD is the Xenon Flash, this will massively improve the low light photos.
Why cant every smartphone that has a 8 megapixel or higher have Xenon flash...... (p.s) yes i know it used more power but I can live with that.

Reasons to compare Satio to Omnia HD (not necessarily all being Satio > Omnia)
1. both feature large touchscreens (+ the Satio has the same number of pixels within a slightly smaller viewing area). Yes, AMOLED sounds amazing, but in terms of reliability, TFT is proven; we'll see how AMOLED holds up.
2. Both feature high powered cameras. I'm not going to say which is better until I see images from production models.
3. An interface which looks cleaner and promises to be extremely smooth.
4. Materials that don't look like they came off a toy from the dollar store.
Yes a few of these are personal preference. Most of the people who bother posting comments will agree with me that in general the Satio has aesthetics nailed, especially compared to the HD. Omnia lovers might argue that they think it looks better than the Satio. Fine by me, I'll just pick the classier phone.
Seriously, this post could be much longer, but I'd rather not tell you how looking side by side on the specs sheet how these two phones have many similar features. So I don't understand how you can say, "how can you compare them?". They're similar on so many different levels that it's ridiculous that I'm even bothering to respond to you. Click compare. Voila.

As for now i am waiting for se w995 black colour to be released in order to purchase it .
we should look at the bright side of the things that we are having progress all the time .
As for Nokia , we have to be fair that its one of the pioneers in this field , and my first mobile phone was Nokia that I purchased in 1998.
Just immagine this world without any competition and just immagine that we have only 1 manufacturer of mobile phone in this world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,,,

stop fighting pls...it is just a competition..too early you result both phones togather...both phones(satio and pixon 12) are diff, satio is a smartphone + cybershot + walkman + game (use omap 3430) but pixon 12 is just a 12MP cameraphone with great screen quality...
choose by your self...a 12MP smartphone or just a 12mp camera phone...

Initially I took time and posted with details and sources. And you know what, I don't care about that anymore. I didn't see you before when we started debating. Then you would have known that I don't talk without facts or source. Right now I feel it's complete waste of time to talk about IDOU or SATIO. SE kept everyone on hold. What is there to argue. There is no news about EXMOR, HD recording, Internal memory, battery....8gb microSD included....that's great but we want to know about the internal memory. They just gave it a new name, nothing else. And look how people are now justifying that move. What's common with HD is the OS. The rest of Satio is "still" uncertain. How do you compare this to HD? I couldn't find anything other than that so called 12mp-xenon cam that makes it ahead from HD. Did you find any? Enlighten me please.

geez, that was a long post. although i don see why se wont just add the damn 3.5 hole, if just to boost its sales, i really dont mind not having it, i actually prefer it without it(i use an hbhds980). sometimes, i like to hoard and hope no one else buys the phone but me so i get to enjoy the goodness and brag about it features to others XD. that aside, your comment about the loss of quality using an adaptor is false unless you are getting something really cheap. its a simple digital conversion and not some complex digital-analog-wave process. but then again, who wants to lug a fat adaptor around?

but my comments is on your language and not on the content.
se has to reform its ways to introduce products in the market , I was expecting at least 3 finalized smartphones including satio(idou) to be announced.
i dont see the point to announce a mobile 2 times in 3.5 months and still not to finished.
this strategy is killing our minds.
I dont mind really if se has lesser specifications than others , but i cant tolerate to wait 6 months for a mobile to be released

i hope SE did some good mode on that 5th thing.
as for the new Samsung 12mpx fone, it is not a smart phone, what were they thinking? They want to put the same camera n flash in i9820 FULL HD or something? come on!
Nokia is dead in the water, they has to release a 8mpx (or more)full touch smart phone, by the time Samsung n SE launch theirs, or they are dead in the water.

Kal, I thought we'd agreed not to attack the HD or Satio anymore. Please don't go against your words. And regarding the Pixon 12, no doubt it's a good phone but we've yet to see it's performance. We don't even know it's CPU. Who knows it can even be compared with the Omnia HD, what more to say the satio. And regarding the camera parts, Satio will have 4 more months more than the Pixon 12 thus enabling SE to make more innovations on their Satio. I strongly believe that the Satio will outperform all the 12MP camera phone as well as all the other handsets which is due to be released within this year.

1. S60 being 5th edition is more of a fault of Symbian probably not having the software ready in time for planned release of Satio; otherwise it would probably have to be delayed more.
2. Why not compare it to the Omnia HD? Compare these things side by side and they're quite comparable. Perhaps the impressive materials quality makes the Satio look a cut above the HD to you? Please, enlighten me with your rationale for this argument.
3. Yes Pixon 12 is quite impressive, it's screen sounds absolutely faboulous, and the materials even seem decent. However, it's obviously an apples and oranges comparison; it's not a smartphone. Also, wide angle lens isn't necessarily a big deal unless you're trying to take a picture of a lot of people from very close.
This phone isn't close to finished; I think that's fairly obvious for anyone to see.
There hasn't been much talk about the details of the camera so I suspect (hope) a lot hasn't been finalized yet. Either that or there isn't much else (which would be sad). I find it odd that SE wouldn't use a Carl Zeiss lens since Sony uses it on their cameras anyways. Due to this lack of information it is still quite possible that this thing has EXMOR.
D&G is right though, don't expect any major changes; it's pretty certain that if it had EXMOR Sony would've mentioned it to the point where you'd think they'd changed the name again. Here's to hoping it's just that they will release fully detailed specs on the EXMOR and other image processing features sometime in the future.
To whoever mentioned wanting a slide-out keyboard, you're missing the point of this phone. Also dual sim is somewhat of a niche feature.

Sorry buddy, the "best Sony headset" you're referring to is an adaptor for the fastport to 3.5mm, with flimsy wiring. No matter what, connecting headphones directly to the phone is going to provide better audio quality than an extension.
