We had giving so much time to SE for developing their phones, but then after received and using it, we found that some bugs were running inside. For xample: almost every SE phone has hanged-by-itself problem. A few months after, the updates been released, it said to solved that problem. Why must it been solved by an update? Hasn't that phone being tested before. It much better if they found the bugs before it released, so they would be solving it. They have much time to do, remember? Don't be like Nokia, their phones always being a tested phones by the early users, they reported the problems they found, then Nokia released the updates. Don't be like that.

As I said, I've been a faithful Sony Ericsson user for more than 7 years, and I will most likely continue to. My next purchase will likely by the w995, as I love the music quality and functionality that Sony Ericsson phones provide.
But with all that being said, by the time a phone is announced to the time it is officially released, Sony Ericsson is way too slow. There is only so much excitement can be maintained through the months by fans and possible consumers after the initial announcement of a phone, to the eventual release date.
I clearly remember when the Xperia was announced, I was extremely excited to purchase one, but the delay in the actual released kept dragging on and on, whilst all these other phones are being released by other companies. By the time the Xperia was released, the excitement for the phone was all but evaporated because there were better phones on the market. I wasn't knocking on the phone, as I said, it's a good but flawed phone, and for a first take for Sony Ericcson for touch screens it was superb, but that doesn't deny the fact that from the initial announcement of the phone to the eventual released of the phone was way too long and tedious wait for us Sony Ericsson phones.
I've read that this phone is due to be released by October this year, but my hunch is that it will be delayed until 1st quarter next year, and by that time again, the momentum and the hype for the phone would have been all but gone as the new iphone and other phones from other phone companies would have been released by that time.

Kyle, 01 Jun 2009I have been a Sony Ericsson phone user for years, because I... morei think you dont know all about X1 but you talked about X1... i have been using x1 for 5months and SE always update X1 software...you must know x1 is very flexible and you wont be bored with it...you can install many UIs like 3d Touch floo 2, SPB shell series, iphone and android as a panel without replace default UI and there are many panels you can download...X1 is never out to date because you can install the other phone application on X1..so pls stop complaining X1...
let me to tell you about satio...
1. many SE haters or samsung fans always show up their AMOLED screen to us...yes, AMOLED is better than TFT, i agree with that...at the first time you will see how sharp AMOLED screen is, wow!! the screen is clear bla..bla but i would like to ask you, what is the amoled means ? yes, AMOLED is An Massive Organic Light Emittion Diode, it has limited life coz it is "Organic light" after 2 or 3 years you will see the screen quality will be drop down time by time and of course the light of screen is from organic light so it consumes less battery power, satio TFT screen is sharp enough :) and good for us
2.formely SE tried so hard to update their cybershot phone after they made 8MP camera (c905) they had a plan to make 12 MP camera on their phone but they didnt find any company except SONY..yes sony is the first company has 12MP CMOS sensor on earth then sony and SE made an agreement to make 12MP camera phone on 2009...finally,now you can see the phone name is satio..do you any idea to tell me which company that has 12MP cmos sensor for phone except SONY EXMOR?SE has done with exmor, look at SE S001 so it is usual thing for SE but many people still dont believe it, they wont accept the fact that SE will use EXMOR...
3. 3.5mm jack is standard, iam very confused why many people always complain that satio doesnt have standard 3.5mm jack whereas until now SONY headset audio quality is the best, if you want to hear your music on speaker, you can buy audio cable in SE store..which is out to date, 3.5mm jack or the best sony headset ? but for me, as long as i can hear the best audio quality on my ears i dont mind satio doesnt have standard 3.5mm jack.Sony knows their audio quality so i must use their headset to enjoy their real audio quality...

I have been a Sony Ericsson phone user for years, because I love their music and sound quality above anything else. But I must admit that in recent years Sony Ericcson has fallen behind in the race for mobile phones, and it's a shame. They were slow on the touchscreen bandwagon, and to top it off, though the Xperia was a good but flawed phone, they released it 6-12 months too late, which enabled the competitors to bring out more up-to-date products which made the Xperia primitive once it was released. This same issue is going to be had with this phone, it's a great phone, but with how slowly the release the phone by the time it comes out, it will be old news and better phones will be released.
I would love to purchase this phone, but I just don't think it's worth waiting for because by that time there will be a much better phone on the market, maybe the Xperia 2?

i like this gadget.. but just 1 thing what about its sound quality as nutthin is mentioned? i heard in review videos it has walkman features but no sense me feature, m sayin this cause i dont see what will it sound like just frm inside the earphones, outside speakers should be better than omina hd too. omnia hd has - DNSe 2.0 (Digital Natural Sound Engine), Virtual 5.1 channel Dolby surround. mostly every speacs r written better than idou.. i've been buying sony previously bfore i bought htc diamond hd... but m jst confused wid dese two now lol

nick, 31 May 2009if you really think that which is unfair, then you can turn... morenick, your right that what samsung has done with hd, is something nice. But if i buy a phone for hd video, i want proper hd video, not to record in lower resolution.
As for what se has done something revoloutionary? Do you remember how phones were, before the launch of w800i and k750i?
The whole stress on multimedia and camera, was brought on by cybershot and walkman phones from SE(followed by nokia's n series).
However Samsung is doing very good now, considering how it was couple of years back.
Both omnia hd and satio are great phones. But I will prefer satio over hd.
