Video playback interoperability is already addressed by the IDOU and the Sony's Bravia series via DLNA.

nick, 29 May 2009you're all so ignorant. DNLA isnt useful in a car, nor i... moreLook mate :)
Even if the idou is an inferior handset to the omnia HD (which is arguable). I would still buy it because we can't all go out with the same phone even if it's the best in the whole world. People want to be different in many ways including the technology they are using. This is obviously what you fail to grasp and it says a lot about your personality. There basically two different types of people.

                1) The one like you who likes to play it save and sticks to the crowd's opinion (which is just too boring for me).
                2) The one who likes to experiment and takes chances (which I consider myself to be part of).

So I guess we'll have to agree to disagree in which case there is no point of arguing any more.
But you should ask yourself what the hell are doing in this forum trying to convince more people to have the same phone like you ?!
Why, why .... why I just don't get it ? Are they paying you to do this (at least that will provide some explanation), or you just have nothing better to do ?

If I could be the only one in the world with this phone that wood be sweet. I can't imagine why would I go around trying to convince everybody to buy the same phone like me.
                THIS IS MADNESS

If you prefer a large internal memory over external memory... then go for it.

If you don't like the IDOU, then go for it.... CERTAINLY, WE WON'T MISS YOU HERE BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE USEFUL IDEAS.

I demand that you take back your words and read through the specifications more carefully( with your eyes WIDE OPEN ). Secondly, it's not up to you to decide whether we should buy satio or that useless plastic HD. You are not a dictator. If you wish to be one, I suggest you go elsewhere and post it. Never show your h!deous face here ever again. Thank you.

well, i own a 5320 xm, [ not a nokia fanboy by any means], used the k810 before that, i terribly missed the camera , so im going for a excellent camera with symbian this time around, idou [satio now[ was on my list, and no matter how much u people scream, a 3.5 is more convinient than sonys solution, just like nokia fanboys cant explain away the lack of xenon in n86. its a limitation, period, the phone is stuffed full of other things, just focus on that. and to b honest, lack of a standard port broke the deal for me in this case, when i pay this much[500 euro, i guess], i wont take imperfections.

                          you're all so ignorant.

DNLA isnt useful in a car, nor is it efficient regarding power...

nor is the use of bluetooth headsets against standard headphones, which also provide better quality

resistive is less responsive than capacitive which ever way you look at it. it has to be, entirely based on the way it works. resistive is also more prone to breaking (unless you drop glass obviously)

no internal memory is a shame. having 16gb already without a memory card is nice, and some of us have over 32gb worth of music, and so in this respect the satio/idou isnt good enough

why would you buy an inferior handset to the omnia HD? I see no point. the HD is clearly a better phone. no excuses need to be made for that phone, because it has it all.

Just imagine you can listen to music while your precious phone is tucked securely in your luggage while traveling preventing thief.

After I've used my wireless headphone, I will never be using my old wired headphones again.

Those people who still want their movements restricted by that annoying and tangling wires, don't buy SE, don't force your OUTDATED 3.5mm "hole in the phone" on us.

SE phones are for today and the future, and that is Bluetooth and DLNA. I am a wireless adherent too, so I'll stick with SE. Very simple isn't it?

Sony always has a history of doing it his own way and let others follow.

Well than, there is very simple solution. If the 3.5mm jack is so important to you, than simply don't buy the damn phone. Just don't try to convince us that it is the most important thing on the gadget. I personally don't care about it at all and I bet other people too.

                                    Different people, different needs.

128 MB ? The internal memorey isn't enough , espcially for such mobile , I thought it would has at least 400 MB like the X1

Anonymous, 29 May 2009Mate, the IDOU is a mobile phone of today and the future, s... moreIdou is a mobile phone of today? maybe future, because it will be release on Q4. lol
                                        just joking, anyway..

as what been said by that man, 3.5mm jack is standard. it will never be outdated. Not all things has a DNLA connection, but almost all (except for SE) has a 3.5mm jack.

Idou is a great phone. But its specs is not that too good. (compare to others, like omniaHD)
I will buy Idou if they will add:
                                        -better ram about 256mb.
                                        -TV-Out
                                        -Divx Support
                                        -Proximity Sensor
-Wide angle lens (12mp is no need without good lens)
                                        -Digital Compass and FM transmitter

128MB memory is enough for me, since it is expandable, but still, it is better to have at least 8gb. It is great to fit the xenon flash on a 13.3mm phone.

as of now, OmniaHD is still the phone for me since it gives everything i want in a phone. The only thing that makes me think to buy Idou is its XENON flash and its design.
