I’ve no doubt this handset will have the right form factor and a slick UI, but having to use a proprietary port & adapter in order to listen to music is really killing it for me.
SdXW, with just a 1000 mAH battery just how long do you think you’ll get out of those Bluetooth headsets?
3q5I is quite right, 3.5mm is the standard by which most users want to enjoy their music by, myself included.

I have never understood why Sony Ericsson, when you consider that Sony produces world class camcorders, stubbornly refuses to incorporate better specifications for video recording on their handsets. If the Satio doesn´t address this many will wonder why.

Well, maybe you are using a CHEAP PAIR OF BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES. I am using an Altec Lansing bluetooth headphones with frequency response of 10Hz to 20Khz, noise figure of -65db.
And why you should put in your files to the internal memory of your phone? It is not recommended because internal memory of phones are used by the operating system and applications of the phone, your files must reside in the external memory in order not to slow down your phone.

I honestly never had to use the 3.5 jack, but just in case you didn't get it the first time, I repeat: Idou (and other SE phones) DO HAVE the holy jack. IT IS ON THE HEADSET !!!
I think I'm gonna go mental if I read one more complain about it :)

3.5mm jack is not outdated, it's standard. That DLNA that you are talking about will maybe be ok in 5 years, but now it's just in development fase and really buggy. Wireless headsets? LOL. When I want bad music quality, I'll get that. I guess at least 8 GB of internal memory is outdated, too :)))
I don't know what the hell is wrong with Sony Ericsson, Nokia's low end phones get 8 GB and 3.5 mm jack and FM transmitter... And their flagship gets 32 GB..
Well, I don't really care, that's why SE had 300M euros loss, and Nokia made some profit, so if SE wants to lose money, go on, just go ahead and make mediocre phones like this

Our world now is a world of wireless technology. Bluetooth is developed especially to get rid of those tangling and annoying wires.
DLNA is formed to develop wireless entertainment. The IDOU is both equipped with Bluetooth and DLNA.
And worst of all, those people complaining about that missing 3.5mm audio jack do not understand DLNA or ignorant about it but worst of all again, those are the people who can not afford those wireless gadgets.
Because if those people really understand progress, or can afford progress, they should understand that: that 3.5mm audio jack is nothing but a hole drilled thru the phone, put a connector, and there you are, you have that OUTDATED 3.5mm audio jack.
SE is a dynamic company, never a retarded company. Those retarded 3.5mm audio jack fans neve have a room in SE innovations because they would never underestand it, worst, they would not know how to use SE phones or can not afford SE phones and the gadgets required.

well, actually a lot of people are complaining about 3.5mm headjack on the idou is because they can't find anything to complain anymore. At first they said it was a brick and now it is slimmer than the omnia HD. At first they say that the idou battery won't last but now? Facts have proved that the idou is power effective. When people ran out of things to say, they tend to say something ridiculous. That's why all those SE haters finally SHUT UP and TOOK A HIKE. HAHA! Shame on them!

i really wish if Sony Ericsson Satio could increase Batter power other wise it will a big loss to buy this cell with this minimum batter power. the batter power should be at least 1500mAH. but not 1000mAH
