Announcement was done 3 months ago!

    What's happening with you all. Of course IDOU was officially ANNOUNCED at MWC 2009 in February. The specs were incomplete and it was a codename. Why suddenly everyone is denying that fact? There will be father announcement on 28th May. That is exactly 3 months. Whats wrong in there?

      Everyone, have no fear as sony ericsson will know what to put in the idou if it really wish to survive in this jungle. The specs of idou will be top notch or else it will be consumed by all the other touchscreen smartphones. I do believe it will be using exmor and high quality lens and processor or engine in order to be declared as a camera multimedia monster. Plus it's also confirmed it will be featuring clear audio experience. How sweet is that? :)

        they were clear from beginning that they won't show the full spec until everything is ready for them...it's same when you see a leak of photos about a mobile from blackberry or Nokia or samsung but in official way

        and you said "LG releases models real fast. Probably OLED models will be available before Idou" ...well for your information there was OLED in SE brand even before omnia HD ^_^

        and they said they may announce new Models in 28th so there may have OLED in one of the new mobiles that will be announced who knows...

        and you keep saying SE loose SE loose billions ..ok in that case how the hell you still see sony's name in NEW MOVIES,SE sponsor for tunnies matchs and in other many things ???

            3 months ago!!!!

            For 3 months SE done nothing!!!!!!

            and it will be another 6 months before anything will happen.

            SE lost so much money that all it can do is schedule announcements for every 3 months.

            I have seen on the NET the announcement - Idou was announced and not well received. So waited three months to fix things up.

            A delay of 3 months is a disaster on this market.

            SE is unable to get a manufacturing corp. since HTC is done with SE.

            Nobody wants to make a Viewty clone two years after the original.

                  Also read the announcements: SE has announced the Idou!!!! Public announcement was made. Video, pictures, big hype etc.

                  At least you should trust GSMArena!!!!!

                      Outdated - can be defines differently. But probably we can agree that it means that a technology this case that is not the best anymore.

                      When there is a better technology which is available.

                      OLED is available technology by the time of Idou release.

                      Other older technology usable but not fasionable any more. TFT is inferior to OLED!

                      An OLED does not make the unit significantly more expensive. Actually it can make it cheaper.

                      I do not really care about other companies product here - this is the Idou forum.

                      (I bet LG model will cost about 50% of Idou :)

                      But LG releases models real fast. Probably OLED models will be available before Idou.

                          then what about all LG new mobiles and N97

                          all new LG have TFT capacitive touchscreens

                          N97 have TFT resistive touchscreen

                          HTC's NEW MOBILES TFT capacitive touchscreens and
                          TFT resistive touchscreens

                          MOST OF NEW MOBILES HAVE TFT either it's capacitive or resistive touchscreens and you saying it's OUTDATED??? lol man get real here.. it's like you saying to all those companies that they ARE OUTDATED

                          OLED is out but that doesn't mean TFT is outdated...if it does then you should say that when NO ONE IS USING TFT screens :)))

                                OLED do not last that long, you are correct but who wants to have a 5-7 years old phone?

                                I change mine in 6-8 months.
                                It is problem for HD TVs but let me tell you the solution is already done. OLED can be just as lasting as TFT. But much less power consumption and much better image quality!!!!

                                You are reps - you should read the industry publications. :)))

                                      And TFT's has a longer life span the oled...the only reason why they're using it because it's cheaper.
