all phones from different companies are manufactured by third party, that doesn't really matter. what matters is who is researching and developing the phone, show is designing (mechanical, RF, baseband, software, applications, customization, antenna & marketing) that is what counts.
Most of the manufacturers are either in china, taiwan, malaysia (like Flextronics, Foxconn, greeberry, sagem, HTC etc) these are not real R&D they are just manufacturing site who works on contracts with these phone companies.
Just chill out, u need know where it is manufactured, just know which company it belongs to.

I 1 2 tell someone who always repeat his words again and again! Why dont u wait till 28 may and then judge the Idou? Because its spec. is not completed! And i think u should slap urself when u come in this forum. No one needs u here.

I bought my Idou to day, and i dunno if its so fantastic that i thought, sure its a fine peace of phone but i am not dissepointed over it, no no i like it, still not loving it only like it, you could have dun better SonyEricsson.
This phone cost me 500 euro to day so i dont gonna thru it away, im keeping it even thou im dissepointed a little bit.

BTW: the 12mp camera is a gimmick - no need for it since the quality of picture is more important than resolution especially this high.
I prefer 8 mp with less noise, that is more than enough for normal printing.
12mp for posters but the quality would not allow it anyway - noise, distortion etc.
Omnia HD will be available soon - Idou probably next year if ever.
Two different market timing. No point to really compare.

I do not want to promote Samsung phones.
Several people compare Omnia HD to Idou.
Samsung lecks features? :)))

X1 highend phone?
I guess you never used it! It is a total failure!
I have tried several one.
Slow, unreliable model.
Omnia comes up all the time because it is popular.
I see people with Omnia all the time.
I never see people with X1.
The industry reports suppports this:
SE sales or marketshare in the smartphone business is extremely low!
SE would be very lucky to have an Omnia like phone!
BTW, It will be at least 6 months difference between the release of Omnia HD and Idou - that is a lifetime in the phone business.

I can see that se fans worried about latest pre release unit of omnia hd which has big improvements,no lag,fast,stable..
I'm both se n samsung phone owner,but i must realize that omnia hd much better than idou..the wise conclusion :
- idou is best smartcamfone
- omnia hd is the best overall multimedia smartfone
Idou pros over hd:
12mp+xenon
Walkman software
Hd pros over idou:
Memory 16gb+monster 256mb ram
3.7 biggest amoled capcitive
3.5mm
Digital compass
So there's no match between both phone..

If I have tight budget, then it's not just the camera or video that I will consider..there are other areas to look at...how does it look...how is the screen, what's the internal capacity, what processor it's using, battery capacity, weather it uses 3.5mm or not and so and so. Idou's full specs are not out yet, we don;t know it's price either. Considering the time gap between the two release, it will be tough to decide. HD won't cost you a lot. Idou would be good choice for many if the price is not too high.
One more thing, if IDOU doesn't have HD capability and it indeed comes with a better battery and with decent internal memory, then comparing it with Omnia HD will be like comparing apples to oranges.Both will have their own appeal. By 28th may we will know if its going to be Orange or not.

Omniua HD can playback HD video on HD monitor!
Have you seen the GSMArena prereview on Samsung Omnia HD - it worth it!
see HD video samples in HD! Quality is great for a smartphone!
We do not need 12mp camera - 8mp more than enough.
HD more useful and less compromise.
OLED is great.
Battery also - unlike SE´s 1000 mAh fot TFT !!!!
