and as far as pricing goes, initially omnia HD will be more expensive than idou, BUT it is being released BEFORE idou, so by the time idou is released they will probably be the same price and i actually expect omnia hd may be cheaper (since it will have been out for longer, its logical). SE phones are NOT great value for the features you get, so we can all expect idou to be very pricy for what it is. obviously i am guessing like you, but this is very likely.

kal...forget about the company ...forget that you are a samsung fan...then i would to ask you, if you are a poor guy who dont have hd tv or even pc...which phone will you buy? omnia hd or idou ?
if idou uses vga video it doesnt mean the video quality is bad...it is just about video resolution not about video quality...sony hd video has diff quality with samsung hd video....

many people buy omnia HD coz they want enjoy a video in HD resolution but if they dont have a media to watch that resolution like HD TV so it will be useless...their hope never come true...
HD video on non HD resolution screen is not relevan, it is too expensive and useless i prefer buy vga video then watch it on non HD TV...cheaper than HD TV

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970The most expensive, and the best is the W995, is a Walkman device, has a bigger screen, ha Wifi, AGPS, very good camera. The G705 is cheaper, and is better than the W705. The W715 is for Vodafone only. The G705 has a 3.2 Mp camera, and has Wifi.

g705 is about 1000 rggt more
w705 is about 1200 rggt
w715 is slightly more expensive than w705
w995 is not even out yet

U still mention about hd video of omnia hd, dont u know this is idou forum? We already know that omnia hd can record hd video. But it doesnt mean se cant release a hd video phone, its because samsung announced it first. At the time being se will compete in hd video phone, and i dont think samsung wins again, and why cant u accept that cyber shot and handy cam of sony r better than samsung?

I think idou's spec. will be better than n97's and omnia hd's.
.3.5" is big enough and saves a lot of battery (1500mAh Li Po will be confirmed) than 3.7" with 1500mAh Li Ion (everyone know li po is much better than li ion)
.12mp will show the world that sony is the world's leading in tech.

Go ahead and say whatever you want to justify idou's low capacity battery, but your logic for Omnia Hd are silly. Are you forgetting that 3.7" screen is not TFT, it's AMOLED, it consumes less energy. Several sites mentioned that they are satisfied with HD's batter capacity watching or capturing HD video. There is no complain regarding its 1500mAh battery at all.
I'm still puzzled why you kept talking about price. Do you know how much IDOU will cost? I doubt it will be any less than HD. Chances are it will be costlier. Sony Hd video "on mobile" is not out yet. One can't compare it with samsnug's.
If you don't have money to print pictures taken by a 12mp phone, are you satisfied looking at them on your pc? so what is the 12mp function if you can't print pictures but you must pay much money for the feature? Lets be happy with 5mp or 8mp. ----I can go on with your own argument. It's useless. Fact is we need to have all the options. We need high resolution pictures so that we can do whatever we want..print it, crop it, resize it, email it..whatever. We can do the same with HD vidoe too. At the end of day it's a personal choice for everyone.It's about preference... A image centric phone or a video centric one. Both will cost a lot. Money is not the factor for those who will go for either IDOU or OMNIA HD.

i think even idou retail version uses 1000Mah li po, it is enough coz SE hater said idou can only record VGA video,only use 3.5" screen resolution smaller than omnia hd screen so the question is
"should idou need more battery capacity ?"
dont forget the battery type is lithium polymer, it is much better than lithium ion....1000mah li po is not too small for VGA video resolution...
look at the phone that use HD video, bigger size screen than Idou, full graphic UI ect but it only use 1500mah "Li ion"..just look at the features, they consume much battery power and memory, the processor will hard work to operate HD video and the Graphic UI.
my opinion, 1500mah li ion = 1200mah li po
but with that features, 1500mah li ion is not enough
yes HD video can be watched on pc screen but must i use HD video on pc ? vga video is good enough for pc screen...so should i buy an expensive HD video phone whereas i can watch vga video on pc screen ?

idou is very relevan for a guy who cant buy a HD video phone...if you dont have HD lcd tv to watch hd video at full resolution quality so idou will be your choice..
there is no poin you offense idou coz you will need it soon...
