    im still confused of resistive n capacitive..

    coz, if we look at the technical thing, resistive is much better.. like battery consumption, the thickness, we can use gloved hands to touch it..

    but, when we actually use it.. capacitive is better.. (im not sure)

    ill give some example..

    omnia i900 - resistive.. the tch scr is crazy.. half an hour use, i got headache....

    5800 - resistive.. i tried it in the store.. not very awesome..

    ifone - capacitive.. very10 awesome.. 5x better than i900... it works very very smooth.. when i c my fren's ifone, i just can say wtf... :)

            So it's not 3640? But still it should be fine to have 600mhz in a phone. If you insist not to start a fight, mohd, so be it. I will eat back my words and apologise. But still idou will only use resistive? Hope it will be able to register our touch precisely. But it will be cool if se change it to projected capatative touch along with multi touch ui. Then it will be the first smartphone to have this awesome touchscreen. :) Anymore info regarding the idou?

              unfortunately not but 3430 works great as its a dual core CPU
              And its said that future WinMo phones such is Xperia will use Nvidia Tegra CPU. HTC already made a contract with them. some youtube videos shows that Nvidia Tegra is just awesome.

                    Mohd, 11 May 2009thc dude..now I know the model too
                    its: OMAP3430 - 600 MHz ARM Cortex A8 + PowerVR SGX 530 GPU + 430MHz C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)
                    the only phones to use this SoC are Idou and Omnia HD (to learn more about SoC, google it)

                      Mohd, 11 May 2009thc dude..OMAP4 is out now but I think Symbian 9.4 does not support them, so SE and other manufacturers has to wait till Symbian 9.5 comes out.
                      OMAP4440 - 1+ GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore + PowerVR SGX 540 GPU + C64x+ DSP + ISP - Image Signal Processor (this is the new dual core CPU)
                      Nvidia, Qualcomm and OMAP are making a strong competition about this.
                      I'd prefer: Qualcomm for WM Os (because of their experience with PC's), Omap for Symbain, Nvidia Tegra for Android and Linux (or generally multimedia phones), but its said that future WinMo phones will use Nvidia Tegra instead of Qualcomm

                        SE_INSIDE, 11 May 2009--I CAN CONFIRM THAT NOW ... IDOU will be manufactured i... moreAww man. It can't record in 720p is it? What's the resolution of 480p? Quarter hd? What about the camera module? It better be exmor with high quality lens. Hopefully it's OMAP 3640. That would be the best! :) But still i wish it would have hd so that all of us se users can benefit from it. Hopefully the final product will have hd recording and they change resistive to capatative touch along with multi touch ui for one of a kind touch experience. But i don't mind to have resistive as long as it's super responsive without us having to apply a lot of strength on it. But the battery is good news. :) I have more hope for idou now. Hope it will be the best of all smartphones!

                            Internal = 16gb
                            Touchscreen = resistive
                            P.S. professional users knows that resistive is much better than capacitive. google it to learn more

                              you do realise the Omnia can record at VGA if it wanted to, but the HD option is still there.

                              also the amoled screen, and higher capacity battery means the omnia will go for longer anyway.

                                    Money was never the problem. Focus is the problem. When top brass of a company gives out conflicting statements, that's not a healthy sign.

                                      And I thought we had a deal not to talk about anything else but idou. LOL. Find something else. It's a dead issue.

                                      And for your info, Ericsson's chief executive, Carl-Henric Svanberg thinks that joint partner Sony would be the most 'logical' choice to acquire Ericsson's 50% stake in Sony Ericsson. Then there are news of Ericsson willing to pump in more money to save SE. The bottom line, It's a chaos.
