If that's the case, then the playback on the idou won't see as pleasing as i wished it to be. But still i am sure it can play downloaded video in a very nice manner. And there's still something that bugs me. What if sony ericsson, assuming it really uses exmor, planned to release the software which enable it to capture video in hd mode next year. Just like the smile shutter on c905. It's really surprising. But still that's only my assumption.

Anyway, hopefully idou will use exmor as i really dig it's camera. If it fails to deliver, i believe i've stated this in my previous post, i will abandon the idea of getting it. But then there's this intuition which tells me idou will deliver. Only downside would probably be the jack.

general, 11 May 2009O.o Thanks for the details. It seems i've misjudged you a l... moreVideo resolution is not directly related to the physical size of the screen. You can not measure it in inches. Take your desktop for example. You can set different resolutions. Things will be much sharper with higher resolution provided they have same aspect ration.

Now here I have a confusion.

For Omnia HD, it can record at 1280x720(16:9) and the screen is exactly half, 640x360. So you are not losing anything. Watching videos on it's 3.7" screen will be brilliant.

Same goes for Pixon. It captures at WVGA 800x480 and it's screen resolution is half at 400x240. It will be great for it's 3.2" screen.

Now, if you believe this SE-INSIDE guy then IDOU records at VGA 640x480 which is 4:3 format but it can playback at 720x480. But then IDOU's screen is 16:9 widescreen 640x360. Things doesn't quite add up. You will get black bars on both sides watching videos captured by idou. That's not quite a good experience.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

In fact I expect the same from others. This EXMOR issue is such that one can't really claim and one can't really disagree. If you claim I will say where is your source and then you will counter attack by saying where is my source that it wont use exmor. We both have no official statement. We just need to have more patience. If not then we all have to live with this war or words. And it will be upto the readers to judge who is right who is wrong.

do you know "opinion versus opinion" is never end ? you wont get right statement from it

i mean if i write some comment about idou will use exmor then you disagree with me pls give your complain to me with a fact, not by your opinion..opinion is never wrong except you give me the truth like official statement from the company that idou wont use exmor but if you havent a fact to prove my opinion is wrong so you cant offense my opinion with your opinion..there is no point from it so there will be useless fight at here

Even if it's only for us fans, they can still put hd to show the world that they are capable of putting hd in a phone but if their d1 is excellent and of outstanding quality, then i won't complain much but provided the video recorded are of crisp and clear quality. Oh man. So only nokia can use carl is it? Well, then i hope they will use the very best of their sony lens but the exmor sensor is a must in order to produce sharp and clear image. I also hope it's shutter speed will be around 1/1000 or 1/2000 to reduce the chances image produced will turn out to be blurred. Also hoping that it will have af-assist light like those of k800i and n82 as well as strong video light.

Forum is different and you can find it in the top menu. Everyone comes here to share or gather knowledge about phones of their interest. It's important to have genuine information and not a misleading one. At times, out of love you guys tend to exaggerate things or gives out wrong information about rival manufacturers. You should accept the fact that those will not go unnoticed or unanswered. Healthy debate is always good. You can still do that in manners, without insulting individuals.

dodo, 11 May 2009I think by the time this comes to market it will be taken o... moreFrankly speaking, i doubt it. It's literally impossible to find a phone which can outperform this beast. There are only phones which can win it on certain aspects but not all aspects. I890 hd at most can only beat it in terms of video recording. But in terms of performance and music clarity, i believe idou have the upper hand and that includes it's touch sensitivity. Though i am unsure how sensitive is the final i890 hd.

I think by the time this comes to market it will be taken over by better devices from other manufacturers. Same thing happened to xperia. Is SE doomed?

About Carl Zeiss optics, only Nokia has the right to use CZ because they have a contract but I dont care about CZ optics because Sony will use their latest technology (as we know now SE is in lens market, they have their own lenses). And about HD video recording well I never use my phone to record videos and I think high quality of VGA which this phone will bring is enough but again it would be good for Idou to record HD videos just because of their fans

im still confused of resistive n capacitive..

coz, if we look at the technical thing, resistive is much better.. like battery consumption, the thickness, we can use gloved hands to touch it..

but, when we actually use it.. capacitive is better.. (im not sure)

ill give some example..

omnia i900 - resistive.. the tch scr is crazy.. half an hour use, i got headache....

5800 - resistive.. i tried it in the store.. not very awesome..

ifone - capacitive.. very10 awesome.. 5x better than i900... it works very very smooth.. when i c my fren's ifone, i just can say wtf...

That's why i said if se can put in projected capatative touch, then it will certainly be a revolutionary touchscreen phone. You can google to check up on projected capatative touch. But if se can implement multi touch and capatative touch at the last minute, then it should also be fine. The only thing i am giving special attention is the camera. It must be exmor sensor along with high quality lens e.g. Carl zeiss sonnar. I want this phone for it's camera and music quality. The internet features and gaming experience are also welcomed. Let's just hope the final product will meet all our expectation.

P.s. Hope se change their mind and implement hd recording into it as good quality video is also a necessity in entertainment. ;)
