I have been after this phone but i emailed sony and they have told me that it is not going to be available until the 3rd quarter of this year. Thats miles away might now go for the siemens SX-1 which looks like being the better phone anyway.

Bad phone. Could not expand memory. Poor. 2 MB for Camera-Pictures, Java, MMS, Games, Ringtones and so on ...

price tag is surprisingliy low compared to the initial price of the T68i!

Already ordered this one. ;) I'm currently using T68 - and I love is. But this new one is even better - as it's featuring a great new screen, Java, Monsum(?), camera etc. Gotta love it! ;) (Norway)

I can't wait to buy it , It has alot of things in one phone , light weigt and excellent price ! Nooo to Nokia for sure , I'v been searching most of companies , Nothing like SonyEricsson :)

Looks like a brick ... Same, really teh SAME design as Sagem MY-X6, even more fearures, but ugly as the Sagem.

I'm actually very impressed with the approach SE is taking to its phones these days. There's obviously a retro-minimalism involved here and if any of you pre-pubescent haters out there had any idea of design, you'd appreciate it. But I guess you're all too busy flipping thru the Tommy Hilfiger catalogs.

I currently have the Ericsson T28z, Siemens S40, Motorola V70, TCC Q285 and the SE T68i with upgraded firmware (so I can use the digital zoom with my MCA-25 camera). To me, all these phones are functional and stylish (well, except for the V70; that was just a bad decision on my part :^) and I gotta tell you, I can't wait to buy this phone. Its elegant, its stylish and its loaded with so many useful features.
So...for all of you that are trying to come off as smart by saying stupid nonsense.
Wake up, or Get off.

Really COOL handset! It has a minimalist design, it's elegant, NOT ugly! But the features is maximalist, alots!
Nokia is way out of business. With a much higher price, you only get a maximalist design case, with a minimalist features inside.
So, wake up men. Say NO to Nokia! Repent to SonyEricsson!

Another check, £350 with no contract.
Personally I thing the T610 looks sleek. An aquired taste maybe, but small, compact and better than the generic Nokias and the subsequently large and unwieldly designs. The only forthcoming designs that look good is the SX1 and Neonodes N1.
