That it had enough its got to go now,
Had it now for 10 days and after writing several reviews on this site I just cant justify keeping this £300 phone when really only worth about £80 max.
Camera is poor with washed out smokey colours.
HD videos are dull with horrible colours again and if you want to record sound will need to tell the people to shout very loud if you want this phone to pick anything up.
I am not prepared to wait on any Sony Ericsson firmware updates as I have said before and will say again ,
SONY ERICSSON PLEASE START RELEASING PHONES WHEN THEY ACTUALLY WORK AS ADVERTISED

i am getting this phone this week,,ive had 3 nokias in 13 months,,5800 (terrible) 5730 (terrible) e63 (good,,just find buttons hard to press)....s60 with a sony twist,,ill post what i think about the vivaz shortly,,ive had 1 sony e before and it was good,,we will see.

This phone is out in australia on a 29cap on virgin, seems like a bargain

Here in Thailand price is 430 euros which is far too much for a phone which only novelty is HD recording. Now every compact camera can do it for 150 euros. SE has a very small market share, but should lower its price if it wants to increase it.

i tried two more times but once it didnt find the phone at all and second time it just went half of the way to update but at last it faild
:(

Dubai UAE 7, 04 Apr 2010Sony Ericsson Vivaz Main disadvantages •No camera lens pr... moredo you really use videocalls even though videocalls are expensive? and the other disadvantages you mention,are they really important? there are lots of alternative to cover those disadvantages you´ve mention earlier...its not the only application in this world,there are thousand or millions out there...you just need to explore.

personally i was quite disappointed with vivaz, especially the text messaging area. i can only use the alphanumeric keypad and not the full qwerty cos' i don't like the full qwerty(a hassle to turn it around whenever i need to text) plus the mini qwerty seems like a joke to me.. even a baby will have trouble using the mini qwerty..
the sound quality also fares below average in my opinion, probably cos' SE wants to focus more on the camera and video. but i felt the camera shots taken are about the same as those taken by my previous SE C902, which is only 5MP. they are not bad, i thought thought it would be better..
the only praise i have for vivaz would be the superb HD video with the autofocusing..
other that those, i find vivaz a reasonally priced phone, over in Singapore that is lol... battery's good enough to last you slightly over 2-3 days, unless you are always online... hope i helped..

i have a problem please help me
yesterday i bought a vivaz and first of all after connecting to my pc i tried to update it through SE updating program and i choosed the second item to delete and update the firmware
but unfortunately after a long time it take, it failed to update my vivaz and after that i could not run it or use it at all!
and i can do nothing with that!
please help me if you know how should i solve it

I do really like this phone but I hope SONY ERICSSON plan to release a MAJOR FIRMWARE UPGRADE soon or I will not be keeping.
Here are my issues and MAJOR ones in my opion afterall you pay £350 for HD Cam thats what you expect and not some washed out colours shady looking video from a £50 camcorder.
Pictures are also shocking quality with no flash avail apart from a weak led light which is useless.
I am a SONY ERICSSON fan before the small minority of sad individuals on the site start all the usual saying I am a Sony hater and that I must like Samsung or Nokia.
Please for once accept someones honest opinion
