I do really like this phone but I hope SONY ERICSSON plan to release a MAJOR FIRMWARE UPGRADE soon or I will not be keeping.
Here are my issues and MAJOR ones in my opion afterall you pay £350 for HD Cam thats what you expect and not some washed out colours shady looking video from a £50 camcorder.
Pictures are also shocking quality with no flash avail apart from a weak led light which is useless.
I am a SONY ERICSSON fan before the small minority of sad individuals on the site start all the usual saying I am a Sony hater and that I must like Samsung or Nokia.
Please for once accept someones honest opinion.

Main disadvantages
•No camera lens protection
•No auto mode for the flash/video light
•LED flash not powerful enough
•The S60 5th edition UI isn't to the best in class standards
•No proximity sensor sensor to lock the screen during a call
•No DivX or XviD support out-of-the-box
•No smart or voice dialing
•No office document editing (without a paid upgrade)
•No stereo speakers
•No digital compass (magnetometer)
•No secondary one(No videocall face)

I have owned a red w995 for months and it is unbeatable
THe vivaz is lighter (Plastic!), better scree, HD video, ...

Personally, I can't wait for the next firmware update, which hopefully fixes the camera algorithms and lets the flash function in bursts, plus kinetic scrolling across the OS, (and Timescape and Mediascape, if that isn't too much to ask). I read somewhere on the rumor mill that Sony Ericsson might port Timescape and Mediascape to the Satio and Vivaz eventually, but if this isn't true, SPB Mobile Shell 5.0 is definitely a great if not better substitute!

i think that Vivaz is great...and i am about to buy it this week...but i am not so sure about the quality of its sound...soo i am also thinking about W995...anyone help me to choose between those two???Vivaz or W995???thanx!

Hello friends!I bought one from Germany(I am in Spain) and sold it the same day...it was silver(beauuutiful), but I would like ine in Venus Red. Where can I get one- unlocked sim free and in Europe?-Any ideas??? I can only find them in black and silver now.Will it tkae long to see them in other colours?

so maybe vivaz will have this one day
