Most fones with vga camera do suffer from poor pic quality when used in nightmode. Images appear distorted and somewhat having these different spots and glitters. These happens because the sensor is trying to improve its photosensitivity but the result is very slow image processing and distorted image. The only way to settle this and be able to capture good pics at low light or at night is to purchase a flash from sony ericsson. you can attach it to the port of your fone. your fone instantly becomes a digicam.. =)

Well, on a theoretical level, if we are trying here to deal with an upgrade of the ubc 65k screen to a 256k tft screen by performing an 'lcd transplant', well i guess that would'nt be enuf because of the display driver or graphics chip that comes with the w200 fone. I min it's like using a Samsung HDMI screen with a computer having merely a vga display. You couldnt achieve the max performance output from the monitor if your pc isnt rili equipped with the right graphics card. But i do hope for the w200, your idea will work as your theory implies. The about as my regard is :
The Phone is Very Good.
Right now when i purchased it contained a memory card of 128mb can i increase my memory config upto 1Gb or till what extent can i extend my config in memory card

I like W200i too. I want to buy it this coming Christmas but sadly I'm going to buy SE K750i first. It doesn't have bluetooth. And I hate that. But still, I like it.

i dont think these phones are good because its a new version and it doesn't have bluetooth and it should

I bought this mobile one week before
the problem is with infrared i cant transfer any stuff through it. can i solve this problem

Hi, it seems that the camera still has the bug problem... A corrupted picture is taken when the camera is used in NIGHTMODE, but I can say that this problem occurs less often than with the previous firmware. It seems that the most recent firmware is to fix some problems that I am not aware of yet... Lets hope that the firmware is fixed so no bugs exist in the future... As for the WALKMAN problem, this should be fixed in the future with upcoming firmware updates...

ll i bought dis phone 2 days back....nice little piece but gotta sme prob with da walkman....continual blips n slips are audible thoughout da play back...n yes ..smetimes the playback stops by itself ....is there ne way i cn get rid f dis prob?...by firmware updates r so?..other wise m just floored by da sound quality ..only so fo da discontinued playback..n da blips...hope 1 f u 've sm solution out dere...tnx.

Yes, I do often (not always) hear a clicking sound (or varying volumes) when the music changes. This is another problem with the WALKMAN that SE should address (with the unexplained, random high-pitched sound)...
I have reason to believe that SE phones with WALKMAN VERSION 1 all have this bug... Thank you for pointing this out~ Lets fix this SE!

Update the phone via Update service in your phone or by downloading the software from the internet (Sony Ericsson Update Service).
W200 plays 3gp and MP4 format video files... May I suggest you download a video convertor like SUPER (from eRightsoft) which is freeware and converts most major formats? Also, I have said that it is THEORETICALLY possible to get the 65K UBC screen changed with a 256K TFT LCD screen, but this must be from a K510... Not too sure whether this will work, so ask a store to change the W200 screen for you with a TFT from a K510... Very simple process (I think), like replacing a damaged LCD screen

Dear 5ushi,
The problem of high pitched song exists in my phone also. I told you.
SE should fix this problem as well as other one that if the song is in stop mode for more than 1 minute the battery consumption should be reverted to as in standby mode to prevent accicdental drain of battery.
I checked up that my firmware for orange spain is latest.
Lets hope SE will solve these issues.
Although I have highlighted these issue on SE site on web but there have been very quiet and have only recommended to get in touch with local service centres.
Try for the same in your country and share your experience.
