dis fone is my main handset nowadays (along with a nokia 1600) .despite some cons lyk an awful display(even da 96*68 CSTN in da 1600 is better) n no bluetooth, its sound quality is pretty amazing n its headphones r top-notch!!

Between the M3510 & W200i, I would pick the M3510 purely on the specs.
But, as an accomplished device, W200i is the phone for me.
Yes, it has limited specs, but whatever little it has, perform flawlessly.

That is probably true. From what I am aware, SE phones don't have DSP built-in (the W902 is an example, likewise with their mp3 players; unlike Samsung who actually use digital sound processor chips with their music phones and players, my T8 for example). Despite the lack of DSP, Sony music players still manage to produce decent sound quality. So with that in mind, it is very possible to get the W200 to produce the same (excellent) sound quality as the W902.

Personally, I really can't be bothered going in and altering some hexes (probably will take a few hard hours looking for the right values); as long as I can hear my songs (with my custom eq), then I'm happy.

If you know flashing and adding custom acoustic drivers, you can still to a certain extent make up for the want of newer "ClearBass" technology.

Not too sure. I actually never used a M3510 before (haven't seen it in stores here either) so no idea. But I have used Samsung MP3 players in the past with DNSe 1.0 and DNSe 2.0 (the T8 and T10 respectively). The M3510 come with version 3.0 I think. As long as you know how to properly set up an EQ, I will have to say that M3510 will be better when compared with a W200.

Just keep in mind that the newer SE (and Sony MP3 players) now come with ClearBass and ClearStereo, which (in my opinion) sounds far superior over DNSe. An example would be W902 (and C905 I think)
