but even though all my songs is at 128 kbps it still appears in my phone sometimes..
ei have you guys also had the same unresponsive keypad problems?
and about the battery life of the phone after a month of watching movies and games it weakened a bit..and i doon't really know which ones to believe regarding to the proper care of the battery..

Playback failed...playback failed ???
my w200 is never playback failed.
why?...why?...

Playback failed is a firmware bug that is (at the moment) present on all WALKMAN phones that run the WALKMAN VER.1. I personally doubt Sony Ericsson will try rectifying this problem, since they have released WALKMAN Ver.3 (W910), and they are probably working on Ver.4 for the newer phones in the near future... I use a 1GB Sony M2 card with 240MB left over. I get the clicking then high pitched sound, followed by the 'playback failed' message once every 30-40 songs. It is recommended that you change your song's sample rate to 441000KHz and quality rate of MAX 128kbs. Any higher will mean that your phone will get more playback failed errors.... Lets hope SE cares enough for its customers, that it will release a firmware fix for this problems...
Other than that, a decent phone that covers all the basics...

about the playback failed thing..no problem the only thing you have to do is to restart the phone thats all..it happens when your playing java games and somebody texts you..based on my experience...and the only thing thats annoying me is the keypad..
its only a month when i first bought it and then the number 9 on my keypad became unresponsive..i removed the casing and cleaned it then it functioned after a while, again its unresponsive ver annoying!
my tips on you guys don't abuse it with your java games!PERIOD!.

When u need yo W200 more responsifzzz ( more fast) :
1. save all your files at M2.(making 28 MB internal memory free).
2. Dont Used your flash themes.

Is this a mistake? It must be larger than 300kb?

what is the difference between w200i and w200a? Is there a plug that allows you to use a headset with a microphone? I cannot find a headset under accessories for this phone.

i'm planning to buy this phone...
after reading through all the user reviews i've come to know that w200i is a awesome phone but the only shocking thing is...
w200i some times produces a unexpected high pitch noise when playing songs...
many of its users reported on this website before... "Playback failed" or something like that...
is this a problem having big memory card??
did any of w200i owner face this problem and solved it...
ao what is the solution...??
or, any suggestion for "Playback failed"....??

when we download or play more than 10MB video then it hangs.
bad phone by sony ericsson.so its sale in india is going down and down.

when u need more feature, please go for another w series.

about the multitasking problem upon my experience when using a java application at the same time the mp3 its slows down and sometimes hangs up. java applications eats up a lot of memory sometime, so my tip is to upgrade ur software version and do not use java and the walkman player at the same time..
