About samsung, they sound good coz they use the same dsp as those used in ipods and its better than SE.
Old nokia su*ked in music that is not the case now...if own a shop then u shd be having some latest models of XpressMusic phns with u....try them on

I've noticed some users don't know the difference between musical quality and music loudness... Nokia is far better in which concerns to blow your ears out... and S.E. makes players/headphones in which the major concern is the quality, not the loudness. So if you use the same headphones in different equipments (nokia and s.e.) you'll notice that S.E. offers you a clean, sharp, separated instrument sound; you are able to distinguish all sounds clearly and smooth, with very high quality; it's due to a better software in mp3 decoding, it's due to a better understanding of what music is all about.
Besides this we have the users who don't know how to use the nowadays headphones: you really need to place them correctly in your ears so you can feel bass the right way... that's why there are different sizes for each ears... I work on a mobile store and I'm telling you, even Samsung offers a better sound quality in general than Nokia does. I'm not a fanboy, I just read the facts and that's what my experience tells me; XpressMusic is a brand, just like Walkman... brands are for selling

Also if do get a chance...then do tryout SE W995 and im sure you wont like what you here...coz the readings and almost as good nokia 5130XM

Todays music when goes more and more electronics looses its juices. i was horrified with some of the bose speakers. still they are costly. i need not project any company for any means. i am not fan of any company. if SE is not good, i wont hesitate to blame it. for eg. nonsense call history in their phone. but when it comes to affordability and music they are doing just well.

W705 i had it for less than 2 weeks !! My worst experience of SE ever and i was a fan before i've had a few SE's and this one stank!! Software problems from the start freezing and shutting off at akward times !!

If u ever get time to search the web do chk some readings of latest HD audio of latest high performance PC motherboards and see the resemblance in readings with that of the latest nokia Xpressmusic phones...
now don't say that ur walkman sounds better than a high end PC motherboard's HD audio processor.
How lame can ppl get???

I have tried all NOKIA, Samsung and motorola phones also. i my taste and opinion, NOKIA music output comes last. It has no basic understanding of music.

You know, Don't expect every phone to be the next iPhone, some phones are made with certain consumers in mind. In my case I use multiple phones and it makes no sense for me to get a couple of high-end phones. I get the phones that would do their job, be a phone, look cool/elegant, and maybe let me play Mario.

defenitely trust this phone better than nokia 5220 xpressmusic which i own one of them
better quality of music and has the best quality of all the music fones out there!
so this is not a bad unit!
want t have this fone!
for all who are saying negative things in sony ericsson..........better think again.........be protective if you want ur fones to have the best quality that you had always wanted!!!

okay people.. don't argue whether this phone is low-end or not.. as you can see it is a phone that fits your basic needs like texting and calling.. having a camera, music and video playback is a plus.. and of course bluetooth and usb connectivity too.. it's really funny when people boast their x.xx MP cellphones when they themselves can't buy larger memory cards.. pictures that take years to upload in the net takes too much bandwidth too.. so pls don't argue about this.. anyway, i think it's a nice phone with a stylish touch..
