Interpolation is the process used to zoom digitally, and the one your PC uses to resize pictures and video.
It tries to "guess" more pixels to make the image bigger, so it doesn't really show any more details as it doesn't "see" any more.
In short, the real max resolution of this phone is 640x480.

I loved this phone it was one of my favourites,the only thing is, i got alittle bit of water in it adn it messed up the entire phone. Meanwhile, most nokia phones can handle that.. this one couldnt.
Also, after a couple weeks the top part seemed flimsy/ unstable

i really love this phone,its a must have with superb features.if you dont have it then you must be outdated n old fashioned.

hey ladies and gents a think that this is a realy good phone but the design is terrible but most Sony Ericsson Phones r really good for memory and the walkman mp3 os good becuse it holds lots of songs thats all a want to say so aill see u all later!!!!

Its a better low cost walkman from Sony Ericcson.

As far as music is concerned, this mob is appropriate for it but the photos taken from the camera which is quoted as "interpolated to 1.3 Mpx" is really awsome. The pictures are almost unrecognizable.

Im not so sure bout "Interpolated to 1.3 megapxls", but on my experience with my k300i, i think it means that eventhough the camera is just 0.3mpx, it has the ability to capture photos and produce a size close to what a 1.3mpx camera can produce. normal vga cam can render 640x480 images right? but SE's interpolated vga cam's can also produce image size of up to over 1024x768pxls resolution, like SE K300i, thats all i can say..

well I bought this mobil one week ago, the music is amazing, real audio, but the camera is very very bad. the pictures taken are ugly.

What end is this phone? i thinks its a mid-high phone cause it has all the things high end phones have ( heard it has nearly identical software the w810 has) the resolution isn't that bad just above average.
ok the camera is the only thing that doesn't make it a real high end phone but if you download an application called facewarp the photos look much better.
