As a phone, this is just ok. The camera is satisfactory, the screen could be better but does the job, the user interface is good and so are most of the other features. Overall, nothing bad about the phone really (apart from the design-a little iffy but not too bad, and get it in black-looks a lot better than the white one). I owned this phone a year ago, and i now own a K800I. You may be thinking that i may be being a bit harsh as you cannot really compare the K800 with the W300, and you will be right, perhaps my expectations are way higher now i have a K800. However, the point that i am making is that i am just about to go out and buy another. Why you may be asking? Because, well, THE WALKMAN MP3 PLAYER IS ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!! Its quite simply perfection. The sound quality is brilliant, you can search for tracks by artists, album names etc and the earphones that this phone comes with are brilliant. I have been looking for an MP3 player for around £60 for a few months now (music playback on k800 not that great-but its not a walkman phone so it wouldnt be), and i have found nothing that would beat the music capabilities of this bad boy for this price. I wont be using it as a phone atall, just as an MP3 player (yes its that good) although as a previous user of this model, i can say that for a casual user or for those who dont want to spend much on a phone, this is the one to go for.

The Sony Ericsson is a good phone, but trust me when i say that when u see the phone on the web u think that it is more than the reality of the cellphone.
My Provider give me 1 year guaranty on the phone and when i had only 2 months and a half with the cellphone, everytime i close it the cell shuts down, and my service provider had to change it. The new cellphone, same model, give me the same problem but just some times, not ever like the old.
How can i say it, the phone is good, everytime u don't get this error.
I'm agree with the one that says that the pics quality is really poor so if u are looking for a good camera cellphone, this is not your model.
I'm thinking right know to change my cellphone because i don't feel fine with a Flip Phone.

To use mp3 as ringtone, select the song from the filemanger, click options > use as ringtone….
Very easy process.
Please make sure that you are doing the same way.

Hello all,
I bought this phone 1 month back.
In budgetary point, this is the best midrange phone available in market.
I have done a research on midrange phones of all major companies.
I bought this for 70 Omani riyals ie 7700 INR. With one year warranty.
256 MB memory card is available.
And guys out there please read the manual properly before reaching into any conclusion.
Using the software provided with the phone, you can do wonders .
You can copy mp3 or images TO and From the phone.
Can save upto 70 songs.
There is expandable slot also .
The walkman headset is very good one. I use to listen music every time, and the battery backup is more than 2 days.
There are options of forwarding songs, which is not present in the SE750i.
Also memorywise this is better than SE750i.
The joystick of low end SE phones including K750 i…will be spoiled very easily…
But w300i is very nice…Iam very much satisfied with this..It gave me more than wat I wanted.
Also you will get cable to connect to your television set also.
Themes are good nice ones.
The only poor thing is camera(a normal VGA, same as that of a k310i) . I did not prefer a phone with camera, hence if you are looking for a camera mobile, don’t go for this…
All other guys, this is the best midrange phone ever.
If your budget is less than 8k, Go ahead…..this is ur phone.

i do not know the reason for that error. try to use other ringtones of different file type. i'm using MP3 ringtones and they are functioning.

can anyone tell me how to update my software? my current software is cxc1123261r4ea031.
i would like to know if there is a newer version of software as this software has some bugs in it. the caller id goes off auto-missing. then the camera is unable to use and all gif file are not able to view. i have to restart the phone. so anyone plz help me out. tq

The camera clearity is very bad & Some video
graphics are not clear there is also no option to continue in fullscreen mode But the sound quality is good
