Hi Again
I said the keypad of the W300i looks girlish because, it is excessively round and is light colored. I mean point out a VW beatle to a girl/ a bunch of girls and they will go "Ooo" "Aah" and make all kinds of funny sounds.
Point out a "2006 Ford Mustang " to me / some guys and we would go " Yeah! The ultimate mean machine". Girls( mostly) like cute things and guys like mean things.
Anyway, this is just my opinion, nothing more or less.
By the way, I am 26 years old, 6 feet male, car crazy and excessively in outdoor adventure hence the name " Safari"

To Safari: I'm a 42 year-old man (soon 43) and I really like the design of the keypad! I think it's one of the coolest-looking pads out there. Does that make me a girl?

Hi All
Sony Ericsson W300/ W300i is a great phone and since it is of the W series it sounds awesome. I like the black and silver combination ; but all the good looks go down the drain when you open the folder and look at the keypad area. Justlook at the keypad area !!
The light color, the round buttons and the buttons intertwined with each other ; it not only looks girlish, but something for a 10-12 year old girl. The only thing missing is may a photo of Barbie.
The keypad layout and color could ( and should in my case )look something like the the Z550i.
It would be nice christmas gift for yor younger sister, daughter etc. ( a Z610/Z610i
definitely for your girlfriend)

My colleague just accept this (mine) phone as the cutest among our officemate.
But I enjoyed it very much. The music just great.

Anyone, is there a way to make the shell-screen to remain visible? (not the digital clock mode, i want it to stay completely visible. (it can fade out, but i want the date-time-reception and so on to stay where tehy are)) is it possible?

Im using this phone for 3 days and im really impressed. SE added new and improved features to their programs. Such as the ability to ffwd and rewind videos, (that missing feaute was a pain in k700i, my previous phone that is stolen:( ) and so on... Its very light-weight and fun to use. Its music player rocks, and the ability to wiev web sites completely is an awesome feature (it supports edge) (i suggest you use opera mini for web browsing. Its better than the original explorer on the phone.)
The drawbacks are; still no zooming for pictures. Worse cam than k700i, even if they say its polarized for 1.3mp... I cant understand why. They could just swap in k700i's camera, which is, in my opinion, way clearer than some fancy 1.3mp phones cams.
The display on the shell of the phone is really cool and so but it only stays for 15-20 sec and than it dissapears. Is there a way to make it stay there? I cant understand why they put a digital clock there instead of using the original digits darkened. Why did you made a great shell digital display if you only plan it to wiev for 10 secs... Other than that, this phone rocks! Keep up the good work SE!

Salam! every body...this phone have very bad camera & I think this isn’t 1.3mp...pictures have quality of vga camera :(

It can hold up to 1G SD micro memory card, if you can find one. Otherwise 256mb,512mb SD micros.

I have the SE W300i and I am thrilled w this lil device.
For what it is, a cell phone that lets me communicate with ease and clarity, it is the best. Talk time's a great experience. Folks on the other end think I'm on a landline it's so clear.
Many gripe about the camera....my opinion: if I want good digital pictures I use a digital camera. Having a quad phone with internet connection, storage, flash drive capability And plays music with an adapter to let you use your audiophile headphones is pretty damn exceptional for a tiny lighweight phone that also does it's simple cell phone job exceedingly well.

i am planning to buy a sony ericsson handset. i found this handset very cute.. i would like to know wat is meant by this interpolated to 1.3 m pixel. is it having the photo quality as of a normal 1.3 mp camera. or should i go for a SEk 750 . please do give me an answer & also i would like to know the maximum capacity memory card that can be put to w 300i.

Ei flip.. if i were you i'd buy this fone (w300) instead of the motorola PEBL, in a way it has the same features..
Motorola PEBL is nice but it has only 5 mb of internal memory and no memory slot..
atleast the W300 has a nice package if you buy it... it comes with a 256mb memory card a USB cable, a stereo headset, CD with software.. charger, manual,
the motorola PEBL has a good package in a way, it comes with a Handset, Charger, miniUSB cable, CD with a full version of Mobile Phone Tools, Chamois bag, Manual
, the good thing is that it comes with a Bluetooth-headset Motorola H500
but still low on memory.. ayyt

I'd like to take back something I wrote earlier on: I had looked at the photos taken by the Z530 and thought the W300's pictures would be the same. I was wrong! The W300 pics are actually very decent, they're just small.
Frankly, I don't need any larger-sized photos from this photos either, I usually have a good camera with me anyway. So I'm really happy to have found this out. :-)
This phone is great!
