Had the phone for a day now.
Traded a Nokia for it.
Comments in no particular order:
-Video very bad...
-Camera OK for 2MP
-Does NOT play a lot of videos I had on the Nokia...
-Nice quality, nice slide function
-Good screen
-Medium keypad ease of use, but I have big fingers...
-NO ability to turn pics sideways, upside down etc. So when you use a pic that is taken lanscape, it shows wrong on screen...
Overall quality is good but the only reasoon to keep it over my Nokia 6500c is because I got bored of it...
and because I don't really fool around with my cell phones any more, just SMS and calls.

nice sized phone but could do with user guide printed in laymans terms as opposed to tech terms which although are well defind are somewhat to technicnal and somewhat confusing if people are not technical minded.

Sorry mate! It recieves only files which can be opened, when send via bluetooth. Cautious fellow!
But this is when mobile to mobile only. I can send any file from my laptop via BT. May be different file transfer profiles..
It doesn't support JSR-82. So we can't think of a bluetooth FTP java app also.
No solution at present other than renaming the file extension in the sender phone using some file explorers and renaming back after transfer

giri, 26 Dec 2009hey my dear friend.. wats the cost u got it for...if u go 4 it 4m a sony showroom...it costs at around 7500 bucks...other dealers may charge some extra...better to have it 4m the sony showroom itself

the phn's gr8.....awesome luks nd rockng sound quality..d only lack lusture being d speed..its slow as compared to others..hope so sony finds up a solution to dat.al together its really a must have device..especially who love music at its best..

Yep. It is a bit slow- especially browsing the memory card.
Battery life is just average- one and a half to 2 days is the maximum I get. And on heavy use, it lasts only one day!
I think it doesn't matter where it is made. SE and most of the manufacturers have now units in China(?)

I just... moreMy phone doesn't hang when message comes in. You may look into the issue. Check how much PHONE memory is free(not card). Since this model is already a bit slow, keep phone memory free as much as possible- atleast 8MB. Delete picture messages/e-mails which You dont need anymore and move all files and java games to memory card.
Still the trouble continues, then approach service center- flashing of software may solve it.

Well I just need the software 4this fone which reads pdf files.plz send me the link.I also tried few softwares like dictionary, windows live, google, opera, etc. but only the dictioanry worked other showed an error that u need to update ur java settings.Well is there any other software for this.If So then send me link .plz.
Sony Ericsson W395 is Awesome.Its worth it.

and wat about its talktime n stanby time..?
3rdly on my fone cover its written made in china...even on all of urs fone written the same?
does this matter if it is made in china..

can we see the images in landscape mode in w395 ?. bcoz previously i used w302. in that phone i took pictures in landscape mode but i unable to view the image in landscape mode? please post ur answer if u know this.
