Hi Aayush,
Thanks for your info. At last someone is giving me an answer.

I'm just curious.... SE have such a high tech s/w (Picture Viewer) to set wallpaper (which mean they consider for the customer wallpaper setting) and yet the Services Provider name can't be turn off....
Which means, if u put ur kids photo as the wallpaper, their eyes will be bar!!!

Strange...........

    Hello!
red is quite right, Dominic. It can play music in the background while multi-tasking and it has the best on-board speakers among all mobiles in the market, way better than the W800i's.
I have seen you asking this question at many places. No, I don't think it's possible to remove the service provider's name!
    Goodbye! :)

        Hi Aayush,
Since u are a SE supporter, i have an question on SE phone.
I'm planning to switch phone from Samsung to SE. But lately, i realize that SE phone can't turn off the "mobile services provider" name in the main screen. Which mean, whatever picture u put as wallpaper, the services provider's name will block the wallpaper, especially if u put a love's one photo as wallpaper. If u know wat i mean. Is there anyway to turn the services provider's name off?
I have search thru my friend's W800i, but have no luck.

            Hi everyone!
You are quite welcome, aman! It's great t know that you bought the phone. I am just trying to promote a company which really deserves it, in my own small way. Though I myself have spent only one month with this phone, I think it will serve me really well in the long term because it hasn't caused me any problem at all so far. As for the colour, I personally find the orange one more attractive though it may differ frm person to person. Ther is a black cover available to, you might want to check that out.
nadeem, the WALKMAN media player indeed supprts re-wind, forward, pause, etc. and it also allows shuffle, loop, 'Mega Bass', 'Stereo Widening' - yu name it! If you are talking about the display, it is identical to the W800i's. However, the camera, though good, is not in the same league as the W800i (of course, you have to pay substantially more for the W800i).
You can change covers even on the W600i, maximus. The one and only difference between the two models in terms of features is that the W600i supports EDGE. It is smaller than most phones and at 120 gm, it is not exactly heavy. However, due to the swivel mechanism, it seems a bt thick but it is very easily pocketable.
That is just a problem with that particular piece, NokiaMia. Get it changed. I do not know anyone else who has faced such a problem.
Not only is it capable of taking panaromic pics, Amr, but it also has some other interesting features such as Burst mode and Frames. It also has some good effects such as Black & White, Negative, Sepia and Solarize.
            See ya guys! :)

Oh my god! My W550i is corrupted! When I turn on the phone, the menu does not prompt up. It only shows "Select" and "Info" on the screen. This is SO FRUSTRATING!

I had used W800, which I replaced twice due to faulty joystick and corrupted Memory Stick, but in the end, I settled for W550i coz I thot I do not want anymore problems. BUT... I still have problem :-(

                          Hi all!
You are welcome, Dominic. You can create an unlimited number of playlists and each can have an unlimited number of songs and the same song can be selected for any number of playlists. You can create any number of folders and put any file in any folder.

Jey, that was the funniest statement I ever heard, honestly. Can you name any other phone, any at all, which gives you an excellent MP3 player, superb headsets, a quite good 1.3 MP camera, 256 MB of inbuilt memory, GPRS class 10, JAVA, Bluetooth, InfraRed, USB connectivity, etc. in just about 340 USD? No, you can't.

Yes, help me, this phone allows pairing with a Bluetooth wireless headset.
                          See ya!

What a great deal!!! Phone, camera, walkman all in one, I can say, tiny device.. Just bought it 2 weeks ago with a reasonable price, I would say, and I can take it travel everywhere. I can even listen to it savely on the airplane (music mode, phone mode off). I really satisfied, coz I actually wanted so much to bought a phone like W800 with a limited budget :p

Hi Kazama, I use the bundled USB cable. To date, everytime I transfer music, the connection WILL get lost... only difference is the time BEFORE I get disconnected, depending on my luck. Very frustrating. I use an IBM T40 laptop.

ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO REMOVE THE OPERATOR LOGO ON W550i?

                                        Hi all!
To aman, you can transfer anything to the phone via the USB cable. When you connect the USB cable to the PC, it gets detected as a removable drive. You can then simply copy-paste audio, video and image files to and from the PC to the phone. For installing games, applications, etc., simply install the provided PC Suite. As for the sound, just one word - 'awesome'! Simply plug in the earphones and lose yourself! Of course, the on-board sound quality is also the best among all phones available in the market. I hope that answers your query too, Dominic.

W800i costs about Rs. 22,000 and this one costs about Rs. 7,000 - you think both are almost equally priced!

I agree with you on the first point, Sean but that is most probably because you do not do the white balance settings according to the light conditions. There are five options - Auto, Cloudy, Daylight, Incandescent and Fluorescent. Neer select 'Auto'. Select 'Cloudy' during night outdoors, 'Daylight' during day indoors, 'Incandescent' when under bulb light and 'Fluorescent' when under tube light. But the camera surely sucks when you use it outdoors at night. As for the second problem, it might be due to some defect in your handset. Get it checked. I never encountered this problem even though I use Bluetooth extensively. The phone is lightning fast at all times and has never yet shown any symptoms of hanging.

Yes, it can, dave. It can also play AAC.
Hope that answers all you guys questions! See you around! :)
