Hi, can any1 teach me how to convert video clips to 3gp/mp4 format? Currently im using Imtoo mpeg encoder to convert the videos but the quality really sucks when displayed in phone. Its damn blurry & full of dots. Besides, the songs in the video clip plays 1st followed by the scenes on it. It would be great if someone can teach me to convert video to a better display / intro me with a better encoder. And also, pls teach me how 2transfer our own notes to this phone. I ave few lyrics & college notes to be transfered to the phone. But i dunno how 2do it. What format should the notes be?

when i attemp to turn my phone on all i get is a white screen, the only way to get rid of the white screen is 2 take the battery out, any1 no if the screen is broken or is the phone just broken :( cheers :)

Nokia 3250 has only 1 speaker,but it is loud among the Nokia phones.
W550 has more than 1 speaker and it is the best output speaker among SE W series.
Please be careful, because "louder" is not the same with "better".(Sorry I say that because many people mixed about louder and better).
But if you speak about which one is "better"; this is sometimes more difficult. Because if I like the sound from W550/3250, that will be not the same to you.Our taste about music may be different.If you ask to someone who like the music produced by 3250 than they will say 3250 is better,otherwise if you ask to someone who like the music produced by SE than they will say SE is better.
My advise to you:
Try it by yourself (I hope that you have friend who is satisfied using W550 and another friend who is satisfied using 3250) and you can compare by yourself how they play the song that you like (with earset and without earset).Than sure you can get the best choice for yourself among both of them.

w900 is beta. it is also a swivel display wif a 2mp camera. every thng bout it is beta but cost 2-3 times mre than this fone. the 1.3mp is nt that flash but will do. most fones hav 2mp nw. 256mb in nt enuf as w900 have 470mb wif 2gb memory card.

hye evry1..can anybody tell me which 1 has a better loudspeaker between w550i or n3250?i so confuse between diz 2 phone coz n3250 iz also a stereo speaker so which 1 has a better sound quality..hope anybody can answer it honestly!!

This is an excellent phone, just one problem that I do have, not anything to do with the phone. Can anyone assist me with the wap and mms settings for the Cell C network? Calling them does not work, as you never receive the settings. I really want to put this phone to full use?

i have a sonyericsson w550i.
the screen its black..i dont know why, it didnt fell down. it happened when i was charging it, i turn it off.
and then i cant turn it on. and its not a battery problem.
help me!!!!!please!!!!

Hi all,
(A) REGARDING WHITE SCREEN PROBLEMS…
Just go to Settings->Update Service->Software Version and check if the version is CXC1250031 R4CB020 000000…..this is the Latest Version of W550i. If your version does not match, then activate your GPRS account by contacting your Network vendor. When GPRS connection is activated, then again go to Settings->Update Service->Search for Update. The fone will automatically search for the updates and will change the software version to the latest one automatically (all the things which were uploaded before will be unchanged). Upgrading your firmware for the fone will probably solve the White Screen problem.
A word of caution: Don’t use the Disc to Fone Software provided in the Software CD of the the fone, coz it is a faulty one.
(B) ACTIVATING THE CELL INFO DISPLAY….
Go to Messages->Settings->Area Info and make the both ‘Area Information’ and ‘Reception’ ON.
(C) DOWNLOADING GAMES….
For those who want to download games for your fone, just visit this link and start downloading…http://www.myw550.lasyk.net/W550i/Games/ After downloading them into your PC, transfer them to your fone with the help of USB Cable supplied with the fone.
(D) CHARGING PROBLEM….
I can suggest you u two ways, though I am not sure that they will work but u can atleast try..
(1)Simply switch off your fone and then turn it on….connect the charger and see if it works.
(2)After attaching the two-ends of the charger (1 on mainboard and 1 into the fone), bend the charger-end (attached with the fone) slightly down and then slightly up (with caution and no xtra force). I once faced of Non-Charging problem and it suddenly occurred due to lose-connection of charger.
U can also bring another charger from others and connect it with your fone….if the fone starts receiving charge, then the fone itself must be ok. And again charge another W550i with your charger to see whether your charger is faulty or not. If all these experiments do not work, bring both to your nearest SE Service Centre coz it might be a fault in internal circuitry.
**There is also a provision of Fast Port Charging in W550i. Whenever u attach the fone with your PC via USB Cable (supplied), the fone takes charges from computer. U can try this, if this works, then be sure your charger is faulty.
(E) SUPPORTED AUDIO AND VIDEO FORMATS….
AUDIO: MIDI-based polyphonic (40-chord),
music files (AAC/MP3/M4A/MP4/WAV supported),
NB-AMR audio clips
VIDEO: 3GP (H.263 AMR and AAC)
MP4 (MPEG-4 and AAC)
(F) DIFERRENCE BETWEEN W550 & W660….
(1)W550 is Tri-Band(GSM 900/1800/1900) but W660 is Quad-Band(GSM 850/900/1800/1900).
(2)Regarding Data Connectivity, W550 does not support EDGE but W600 does.

i liked all da features of the phone but the thing is that the battery back up of this phone is not too gud n the screen scratches easily and also their is no card slot. the memeory is only 256MB. neeraj.s.

its not the latest phone but if u like MUSIC this is best phone for u in the market now a days in such a cheap price , coz not only its a walkman phone but if u talk about camera clearity thats also good coz its having many modes of clicking a picture and the most important thing which is MEMOry its also good coz no phone gives u the inbuilt memory of 256MB ,, SO FOR IT -- ITS FOR UUUU
