i've had mine since it first came out here in the uk, i'll give it 9/10, i'm totally hooked on this phone, if theres anything out there that has all the same features & costs the same, i haven't found it yet.

Damn good phone, won it in a competition and the white screen of death is non-existent to me so far. I have heard complaints about the 256 MB you get but if you want one with a memory stick slot why don't you just buy the W800i its only an RM25 extra, also if you use a memory stick you can't download or share anything if you lose it or get it corrupted

i think that the problem of someone here about his/her phone's bluetooth is in the bluetooth chip inside the phone...i have a friend who has a nokia phone which had a bluetooth problem...he brought the phone to a service center and they say that the problem is in its somewhat they called bluetooth chip...

wait guys...who has experienced the white screen error???...can you share me how did you solve the problem???...bringing the phone to a service center is somehow expensive for me...i'm still a student...thanks!!!...

yeah, the phone is bulky...but do not consider that much...this phone has the coolest features...at a price of nothing to worry about...after buying the phone, be sure to update the phone's firmware via gprs...the update service is located in the phone's general settings menu...just to make sure that it will not bring you any disappointment...

b4 i upgrade the version which solved the white screenie....i solve that problem by pressing the off button for some time rather than removing the batt...caution...

the phone's camera does not work well in night shots...but still, this phone is really cool, eventhough it encounters many problems...superb sound quality and battery stamina...but, if you encounter the so-called "white screen of death", you have to bring your phone to a repair...or you still can detach the battery for several hours, or, if not effective, for several days...hehehe...and after that, you'll just have to use the phone "wisely"...

i have w550i since december...and for the second time around, just today, it has the white screen of death...and i have to bring the phone to a service center to reflash it again...someone in the forum asked how much it is in the Philippines...well it costs around 12000-15000 pesos (openline; 1 year warranty) (USD1.00=PhilPeso51.00)...
they say R4BA041 is the newest firmware which makes w550i stable, but it is not...sony ericsson still did not make a good remedy...
in order to maintain the phone in good state, just let the phone to have 50mb memory space...and do not install too many Java apps/games...once the phone hangs up because of any thing that you did, then do not repeat that thing...that is what i learned from this phone...
phone repairs in unauthorized centers cost 500pesos, but it ends up your phone's warranty...

Yup, dis phone plays mp4 sounds & videos clearly. In order to save yo memory for dis phone, convert all ya songs from mp3 to mp4 format. It saves up yo phone's memory & the quality of mp4 is de same as mp3. Grab dis phone asap. U'll neva regret cuz im 1 of de happiest user of w550i. Peace out!!!

It's an absolutely gorgeous phone, good looking and the software is smart – as opposed to for instance the SE Z800.
The ONLY drawbacks I can think of are
a) the non-expandable memory (in a walkman you want more than 256 MB)
b) the camera quality (SE could have been nice and put the 2 MP camera in this one as well as in the k750).
I am extremely content with this phone except for the two things mentioned above, and I have owned and used quite a few over the years.

anniversary for half a year wif my fon ^.^....roxx...white screen prob solved after upgrade of software...and on forums..the loudspeaker is rated the BEST !!
