Im going to buy this phone. Ive read your opinions but i havent found anything about the keyboard. So please tell me about it. Is it convenient? I mean the hidden keyboard with which you write sms. it looks quite bad...

here is a tip for ppl who experience phone crashing. i was able to relate this problem to a corrupt theme most of the times. when i removed and changed the theme i was out of such problems. also make sure you got the latest firmware. as of now it is r4ba041 .

Hello,
If you are considering what phone to buy I insist this phone.. It is amazing in features. Excellent Camera with FLASH, MP3 Player with STEREO WIDENING and MEGABASS and when you open it u are greeted by neat sounds. The W800i does have a better camera and expandable memory but it doesnt offer the amazing design of the W550i and if u ask me u might as well get a cam and mp3 player if you are a serious photographer or an ipod with 30gb... The W550i is the most well thought out best designed feature packed phone EVER!!! well done sony ericsson... :-D

Hi all the W550i is a great mobile but I face some problems with the Bluetooth that somehow other phones don't see my mobile at all even that the visibility is turned to show phone and at the same time when i search for other devices the mobile find any devices and some time i turn off the bluetooth and it still on !!! i must press turn off again and many times it hang and i must take off the battery to restart it...
any one faced this problem may tell my about it.

Great audio features. Poor camera quality. If you are more into the audio part, this is good enough, but if you're more into picture quality, you're better off with an s700,k750 or w800

to play the video in full screen, u need to use the walkman..then go to videos, there u can play it in full screen..wat r d benefits of updating d firmware?will it make any significant change?my current software version is CXC1250031 R4BA041 000000...is that outdated?
by d way, this is a great phone..everyone should have it.

ok if ur on vodafone, go to theirwebsite and login there should b a place call pxtworld in there u can send pix from ur comp 2 ur fone 4 free. get the size of the screen from the specs (in pixels) then go 2 paint and set it to the size then just drag and drop the pic, save it then upload it and when u send it 2 ur fone it should be resize to the screen wit out it recropin. hope that helps

i actually have tried to create my own theme using Theme Creator....but it's quiet hard,becoz the picture cannot be crop on that program...if the picture is too big,it will be crop at the unwanted area of that pict!HUH!(not user friendly enough!)
can someone recommend for me 1 program(theme creator) that is user friendly??

i ll tell you why you MUST buy this phone. the D-PAD navigation is a million times better than joystick. firmware upgrade thru gprs. the swivel looks freakin stylish as hell. it has certain advanced jsr support which even k750i lacks. goto developer.sonyericsson.com to know what am talkin bout. THE SOUND. only phone other than k600i to have in built netfront browser which can resume downloads:)

i hav downloaded UpdateService_Inst_2.2.13.7b
from the SE wbsite can anyone help me out as to how to go about using it to update the software,and how much time it will take.
@AAYUSH there is a simpler way to avoid files gettin deleted wen connected to USB.
Just go to my computer right click on the drive of ur phone and select EJECT.the phone will show that it is safe to remove the cable.

hey...u should read the posts here =.=...it had been stated that u can watch it by selecting the walkman file, go to videos and press fullscreen...as easy as that ^.^...
