This phone can play videos in 3gp format. This is the format used by the camera when you record videos. Other supported format (if i wasn't wrong) is aac mpeg4.

im going to buy a new fone coming wednesday. I havent made up my mind yet if im going to buy this fone or a diff. model.
If this fone can play videos, it would be a plus. Can anyone help me in confirming the video formats that this fone can recognize??
Dont want to commit a mistake in choosing a new fone so please help...

I purchased this cell on the 1st of Jan2006 after going through many cells for about six months under the 15,000Rs(300$-350$)range , the best feature and reasonably priced(unlike nokia) phone one could ever purchase . Until 22nd Jan2006 it seems the opposite the phone just dosent start only the sony ericsson logo is shown even after removing the battery , the sim nothing seems to be working , will visit the service center tommorow , So think twice before purchasing this Cell .

the camera on this is not as satisfying as i fought i wil be. u can put midi/mp3 as text msg tone but do ne1 know how it can last through the whole song??? cos my 1 cuts off after lyk few seconds of receiving a txt.????? can ne1 help 2 answer y Qs thaks

i was very happy when i bought this fone. few days later when i started to put some mp3s and pics on it i was sad because some of the files inside were automatically deleted and i don't know why. this fone is very nice and worth the price but since that day, i'm not that happy anymore with it. and when i power on this fone there's a color grey on the screen and it seems weird. oh i'm so sad today, the pic there was so nice but then it was erased. i didnt pressed anything. i hope it will never happen again. this fone is excellent if it wasn't like that.

i think my battery have a problem.....
i recharge my phone on tuesday at 10 pm until it's full at 12 am at wednesday..and then i go to sleep....on that day(wednesday) i just recieved and sent message maybe 10 times.......yes my phone can reach 1 day out of charging.....on Thursday...i do the same thing(without use other function)...and 2 pm on Thursday i need to recharge my phone again!
it's that normal...

I have a collection of games and some tricks for all Sony Ericsson users. To all interested in W550i… It has great music reproduction and file management. Graphical interface is fast. Build quality is outstanding considering its swivel construction. Full screen viewing for videos and photos is also a plus! Camera though isn’t excellent under poorly lighted conditions. Battery is excellent. It lasts for two days on: 1 hour of games, 3 hours of music, and about 2 hours on other functions each day. Does anyone who has use this phone know if the recption is good like if u go to the mall do u lose the recpetion because SE is known for bad reception.

maybe the store cheated on you, instead of giving you original battery, they switched it with an A-class one... If you want to check, go to any valid sony ericsson retailer and inquire or ask about your battery
