great phone i love it camera resolution is good ... design evrything cool ... but i think that sony ericsson should have made it with a stronger keypad; i´ve own this phone 4 a week and key #2 already cracked ... it is a shame that such a great phone comes with a keypad so weak ... shame on you sony ericsson !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im gonna get this handphone in second hand status , i was wondering , is there any W580 housing or keypad replacement as in the market has any housing or keypad to be purchased to change?

i lost the back cover of the cell phone as it fell dwn...n i never got it back..nw i dnt have d back cover coverin the battery..n cant even get it in the market as its a new model!!

yea i was a bit concerned about that but it was supposed to have been the earlier batches that had this problem. i use mine a lot and theyve been okay on this one. from what everyone else says the problem starts straight away so you could return it if so

i think you should. as i said earlier ive had the silver one for 3 months now with no problems whatsoever. it looks so cool with the lights on it. ive just got the grey one for my other sim this doesnt seem as sturdy but looks amazing. as long as youve got the warranty you usually get the phone should be okay as most faults develop within the first month anyway so yo would then get a new one.

to the person who asked whether anyone had a phone which had had no problems after 2 months well i have one. its the silver one, no keypad cracks no problems at all. i liked it that much ive just got the grey one but it doesnt feel as sturdy on the slide. Still love it though

I recently bought this phone.. Grey colour rocks big time, its better than black or white. resolution is really gud.. operational speed is also excellent...

iv hd no problems wiv it..the keypad is gd (use ur thumb) so da pplz dat broke deres probablii used force..its slider is stable and screen is clear
i live in london n gt it on o2 buh put a tmobile sim into it so mayb da pplz dat hv problems hv bad fnes in their area

Can anyone tell me, how can we send the same sms to multiple contacts as i was trying to forward a msg to many of my friends and everytime i had to select one contact and then press the continue button it again gave me an option to add another contact, this was very time consuming. I amlmost took 15 minutes to send the same message to 10 people.

i got the silver w580i in october and had no problems at all with it. Just got the grey one for christmas and when the slide is open and i press the right hand side of the phone there is a bit of give which worries me a bit a the silver one i have is solid. does anyone else have this?

Here's something for you. You know the side button with + and -, for camera zoom and volume? Well, it busted on my first day. i can only press the down button confidently, while the + button is jammed, and can only be pressed if i press the down button first to bring the + button back up (something like a seesaw). great, i'll never be able to crank the volume up.

To use shake control, you have to hold down the Walkman button while shaking. its a cool phone as customizable as the w810 when you unlock it. The only down side is no LED lights for flash photos. Im switching to it as I save up for the K850.
