AVOID THIS PHONE AT ALL COSTS!
After just 2 months:
Five cracked keys
Switches on/off randomly
Won't connect to computer
Sometimes screen goes blank
Unlocks itself
AAAAAAAARGH!

hii , i want to buy this phone but is there still a cracking prob ?? n there is no flash for the camara does the pic cum out gd ?? izzit very hard to use ?? pls reply . thank you very much .

hi mewy. small doubt. i tried opening the back cover like u said but still very tight. i'm scared of putting to much of force into it because d phone is so delicate. n if possibe please answer m previous post also

hi guys.i bought my W580i abt a mnth back.it has great sound and screen resolution is good too.but the phone is very delicate.already the top portion(the screen portion)of the slider is starting to shake and d stub like portion below the keypad.and d 1 on the keypad has cracked and other keys have become a little loose. can anyone tell me whether d service centre will repair this for free.still in warranty period.

Hey !
I've Had This Phone For Quite Some Time Now And My Keypad Has Never Broke And I Love The Shake Control (hold walkman button and shake). Just One Thing, When You Are Say, On A Menu And You Slide It Down, It Doesn't Lock, Is There Anyway Of Changing That ?
Still A Great Phone Though 10/10 !
I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS PHONE !

I love the phone, cept for one small problem I can bearly hear people on it. I have the volume turned up all the way and the people im talking to are still really hard to hear Ive had other sony's and never had this problem before. any ideas?

Hi. The cracking problem has been fixed. It was a bad batch that was produced in the beginning of production. They have changed the materials used for the keys, and are very sturdy now. I have the black and blue one, I haven't heard about any of them having the cracking problem. Best phone I have ever had.

hmm...so is the kep pad problem been solve???i really wan to get this phone...hahaha so how??cuz someppl say the kep pad crackin problem oledi been solve cuz the crackin series is becuz it's the 1st produced n after tat the company had solve it...so is it true?????

28 days is the stores warranty replacement . after that it goes back to the manufacturer for replacement .

I just got this phone and it's not as white as i thought, is it normal? It's like silver white. Also, the back is so hard to open, do you have any tips??

SALTY: Hi! Its in the manual, hmm have the sony logo pointed upwards then push the back cover up just like any nokia battery cover :) then ul hear it unlock !
anD OH another comment the lights are the ones softly blinking at the side and under the slide and keypadssssss center button =)

Just bought the phone, i love it way better the K810i! yeah it doesnt have the flash okay 1 bad pt and 2 people say the keypad cracks, mine hasnt yet so 2 bad pts. BUT A Hundred pts for an excellent phone! LOVE the interface, battery life... whoah!! kewl lights!! in different colors haahha never seen it in a mobile unit before looks like mood colors per text or call! so kewl! im impressed :)

I cant find any security option in my W580i. can anyone guide me how to set keypad lock password, or anyway to set password on mobile so no one excess the pics, msgs etc.
