hi i only saw this phone yesterday for the 1st time i have a w800i can any one tell me if the phone's camera is better or on par?

which color version will have keypad crack problem??....i heard is the urban grey version...ppl said that the white version have no problem about keypad crack...darn....i din notice this problem....only get to know this after buying the hp....now i am quite concern with this issue....anyone can give some advise on how to reduce this problem...ur feedbacks r highly appreciated...thanks

I have had this phone for about a month and it is great! I first just got the phone through AT&T and I did not like all the junk that AT&T put on it so I just bought the "real" version of the phone and it is just as good. The keypad that people have been complaining about works fine. I text a ton and I have had no issues with it. It is shaky if you push the keys on the edges, but if you push right in the middle it feels really sturdy. I have had no bad issues with my w580! I love this phone and the software works great and I love the layout and the way you can get through windows and things like that. No really bad problems to be said! Great buy and suggest it to anyone who is thinking about it! ZWZ...

Only the network taxes apply to TrackID. I mean, you pay only for the internet search of the song you have recorded. I haven't tried this out, but it shouldn't be so expensive, as it takes only a few seconds to display the song's details.

Having had both s500i an w580i i agree that keypad issue is same in both ive had with regards to using keys gently i do in both in s500 an w580 both keypads cracked in ten days i dont want a phone with cracked keys eventualy in w580 my key 6 that had split fell of in 2 pieces so being gentle isnt issue its sonys manafactuing fault then in my case handsets were sent away for 3 weeks before cracking again an they were both from week 33 w850i is phone im going back 2 with w580 im disgusted

whoever u are, steve... u keep u nose where it belongs... people have the rite to say wat they want... and hell, other customers that were willing to buy it would have benefit from other's comments... there are fones that u can text how much ever u want and till ther's no problem... if sms feature is one of many feature in the fone, we should txt as much as we want without care.. so if the buttons are too sensitive, make better keypads otherwise don't make features that would damage the fone...

i just got this in a white...its so cute and stylish havent had any problems with it...highly recommend it..... i work in a phone shop so i should know..

Don't know who this post is below but let me make this clear to all of you considering this phone.
Under the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, manufacturers have to provide a handset that is fit for its purpose, free from defect and reasonably durable. The W580I is neither fit for purpose , free from defect or reasonably durable.
Yet the SE repair centre claim there is no issue with this model!!! It beggars believe.
Mine lasted 2 weeks, away and back lasted 1 day away and back lasted 1 day. Now back again I will be taking this up with trading standards.

Get this phone if:
- you'll use it more as a cellphone than a text messaging device
- you like a feature packed phone
- you don't use your phone as your digital camera as well (occassional picture shots only)
- you like the Walkman interface
- you like a nice looking phone not just in the picture but in person as well
DO NOT get this phone IF:
- you'll treat it as a text messaging device. you might as well get yourself a SIDEKICK or something with a qwerty keypad because YES, the keypad is fragile and it WILL break under enormous texting conditions.
DO NOT COMPLAIN about the the keypad breaking IF:
- same as the above
IF THE KEYPAD BREAKS A SECOND, THIRD, OR MORE TIMES:
- it's YOU that's the problem, not the keypad.
It's getting old seeing people crying, biotching, pouting, and complaining non-stop about the keypad of this phone. YES, they are FRAGILE, probably one of the most fragile keypads out there... But if you handle it with extra care and taking it easy pushing the buttons, you should be fine and you'll like this phone. SO STOP THE MADNESS and don't comment on how the keypad sucks... everyone knows that by now"

It's absolutely the best phone I've ever had. I'd reccomend it to anybody who's looking for a fantastic music phone.

keypad has cracked within 20 days from purchase.
Also getting hang during calls & web browsing.
this two things are strange, company has to think about it.

hi guys... i just replace N73 with W850i.... awesome phone.. great performance...great handling and offcourse nobody can beat sony in sound quality....... nokia is far behind in this.... overall w850i is a class launch from sony....

Just got the w580. Quad band reception makes a huge difference compared to my w880 when using in North America. I'm impressed overall about the phone. However, it seems my w880 takes pictures just a little better. It seems a little clear.(I may be wrong) I thought the cameras chould be the same. Other than that I have no complaints. I like the how firm the memory card cover is. Btw, anyone know if there is a cover for the phone charging part? My charging part of my w880 got so dirty, but i don't want to mess up the phone so didn't really clean it. Is there a way to clean it? I guess this is the second complaint, why can't se make a cover for the charging part or port?
