Hey, I am not able to get the W580i anywhere in bangalore. Has it been recalled? All the retailers are saying that it is "out-of-stock" and that it is not being shipped by Sony anymore. Is this true? I actually like the features on the phone and wanted to buy it.

which model of NOKIA or SE can be the best substitute for this model......if i m nt going 4 this w580i ..........
camera & music is the preferance ......4 me

nice phone in black version i convert divx/dvdrip movie to 3gp/acc and is amazing resolution and quality screen i test the same file in a windows mobile phone and 10 vs 0 .. wining w580 phone, apear have a big processor inside.
i hope remake the camera and put more video options.

In the specifications listed here at gsmarena the Infrared availabilty is marked as NO. But in the simulation provided at sony ericcson website, IR option is available. which 1 is true ?? Is there any possibilty of viewing videos in landscape mode ???

its buttons are not that good... they break easily. but besides that a pretty nice phone... ooh no flashlight...

OK. I'll try again... Anyone, please, how can I set what I have downloaded as a ringtone (or ringtune, according to SE). BTW, the phone, itself, is more than satisfying. Only weak point is the navigation key - it doesn't appear to be too solid.

The speakers are supposed to be on the front side behind the navigation pad.

After one whole month with the W580, I am satisfied! No other phone I've had has impressed me so wit all its features. Great design, great features, great sound!
