perhaps you didn't charge it overnite twice ? first time you get your phone, charge it for 8 hours. then use it until battery indicator turns red, then charge another 8 hours. after that the lithium battery would 'learn' it's actual capacity

the batery is suck not even for 4 hours talk time and i don't know why they posted 9 hrs talk time.?

This phone is cool, i am a proud owner of it and its got great deal of features to offer.
Jus got it a week back and still figurin out many of its features. A must buy for all Sony Ericsson fans.

i'm in love. most certainly.
my first ever phone was a V600.
then my next was a w810i.
then i lost that, so thought, by chance, i'll get a nokia, for a change.
got the n73.
hated it from the start and until i gave the damnable thing away.
i guess the huge difference would be the text messaging, and for those of us that do a lot, the ericssons are so much easier to use.
for the nokia's, you couldn't insert words made up of numbers, for example if you typed a phone number a lot in text messages, you couldn't insert a whole number.
probably one of the best features with the ericsson text messaging in my opinion.
also, the 'insert word' option is just so much easier to use.
but oh well. i would say you lot already know all of this.
after i got rid of the n73 i came back to this.
and yes its wonderful. sound is perfect. everything is consistent. its easily the best looking phone i've ever had, with the orange keys and backlight, and the blue and green side lights.
it definitely doesn't feel that flimsy to me...it does slide back down into place quite solidly...
its so skinny you wouldn't have to worry about it taking up space anywhere.
its easy as pie to assign mp3s to ringtones.
the camera is average - i will admit, on the n73 it was absolutely amazing.
apart from all this - the best thing is that iit is exactly the same as previous models, sso you don't have to relearn a thing; for those ericsson lovers.

I got W580 with a new service contract from Cingular..this phone is really flimsy and is reallly soft. I think if you would want the slider phone go for Samsung D807 instead of W580i, just my personal opinion.
