I have been trying to get this phone from the past few days, but it looks like none of the dealers have the W580i in stock. Are there any problems with this phone? Has sony recalled it or something like that?

my sister-in-law bought W580i less than a month and 3 keys on her keypad already cracked. navigation key is very hard. i still love my W850i.

W580 was a nice phone . . but my phone screen went blank and shows nothing but the handphone still could run (eg walkman) The keypad also crack easily >

the w580 I've been 'playing with' for the last days (belongs to a friend) is still perfect.
If you can return it and get a new one, do it.
There is no problem in returning things if you're not happy with the way they work - but plain stupid if you don't. Especially if a phone is not cheap like this one (yes, I really think it is overpriced for a non-3G phone).

hey all!
My 5-day-old new grey w580 has a slight "loose" movement in the bottom left top cover.Should I change it? I can, I have asked the shop assistant, but should I? Will it become worse? Is that a sign of "faulty" slider? I hate it when I have to return something so new and expensive!

Hi guys. I'm half decided in buying this w580 phone. I heard that on the 11th of September, new models, with the fixed keypad are going out.
The thing is that I live in Romania, where really good phones come very late, comparing to other countries. There is a single company in the whole country which sells this phone, but only from the next weeks. Do you think that the next weeks, when they bring the phone, they'll bring the phone with the fixed keypad?
This phone got my attention the first second I saw it, and I really want to buy it, but i don't want to make a big mistake buying it too early.
If, somehow, the keypad cracks, what am I supposed to do? Because I don't think my country has a SE service center...

If you're not a Rogers client, you'll have no problems assigning mp3 to ringtones.

Bought this fone yesterday. 100% satisfied wid its performance. can somone guide me how to put a song on 'repeat' so dat it plays continously?

If you download a program like mp3 cutter you will be able to use you mp3 music files as your ringtone. The reason why your mp3's won't work as a ring tone is because the files are to large. I use a cutting program and still save it as a mp3 file and they work fine.

hey everyone! i got the phone..AMAZING! but one problem..i can't seem to set my mp3's as my ringtune..is anyone else having this problem? my music works fine but when i go to set a song as my ringtune it says "unable to set as ringtune" or "file unavailable" or something like that
