I am expecting my phone on Thursday from AT&T. Will all the features work including mp3's to ringtones?

Does the AT&T branded version disable MP3 ringtones as well? And why would the carrier specifically disable that feature anyway?

I think what they meant is that Rogers costumers are having problems with mp3 ringtones. Or are you referring to them specifically? Because unlocked and unbranded phones are ok.
Easier than connecting your phone via usb to transfer mp3s: get a card reader if your computer doesn't have one. For €13 you can get a '61 in 1' card reader and you don't have to fuss around with cables or put more stuff in your computer.

The specifications for this phone mentions that it supports (can play) .AAC type files. However, I can not find any way to do so on the phone. Can anyone help? Any other softwares to install etc. Please help. You may also email me at: rhymixx@yahoo.co.uk

TO all you guys who keeps saying you can't have an MP3 as a ringtone, YOU CAN. It comes with Disc 2 Phone software and transferring songs is so easy. You just put your CD in your PC, connect your phone and your music is quickly copied onto your phone. I agree with Cathy about the little hook where you attach a neck chain or strap. I had mine around my neck and it fell off the chain onto the concrete floor! OUCH! Fortunately it survived but annoyingly has a scratch on the casing now. This has really loud speakers and when the phone rings, every one hears it!! I'm happy with this. My previous mobile was an SE W850i but I prefer this as it's slimmer. I bought this one sim free for £180.

I've had this phone for almost a month now. I like this phone over all but just 2 things that bother me a little bit. 1 is the keypad is not that comfortable to type with because its too flat ( i text a lot so it kind of slows me down from typing), 2 is where you hook ur chains and stuff on your phone is really not safe. I put my cell phone chain on it and it comes off everyday. It doesnt hook on tight. They should make it like W800 where you just tie it on instead of hooking it on.
But overall this phone is still great.

hehe just brought w580 from rogers! the light are amazing and the phone is kool. but no good games and cant put mp3 ringtunes! hey u guys know if it works if i unlock it?

for rogers user save the mp3 as a wav file then you can use it as a ringtone.
