i live in las vegas and have the w600 from cingular. when i saw your post, i immediately went to the cingular site and dude! the 8125 roccccks! it's kinda like the p990, but has no FM and 1.3 cam only, but what the hell, it was wi-fi. right? do u know if its 802 b or g? thanks man.

OK this is where it gets good, hello peeps i work for cingular i sell the w600, check it first off you lame asses shouldnt be buying phones without insurance and note WARRENTYS on the phone are 1 year WITHOUT having to send in paper work. + my friends if you have that "white screen of death" then you should return the phone to sony to get a brand new one!!!!!! me myself i am i s710 owner now the only reason i feel that the s710 is better is the facti can switch memory and the larger LCD screen, anyhow w600i is a good phone faster on the net 2, butin the long run the new 3g phones out that i sell are much bomber trust technology is AWSOME check out the cigular 8125 pocket pc!

does anyone knows how to fix the white screen of death on the w600? i like all the features on the phone, only had it for a month and the white screen came on when i was going to make a call,it shut off and then it turned on with the white screen,i dried letting the phone on for a while,i took the battery out and left it for a day and didnt work,next im going to try running over it with the car.

ive had the phone for like a month or so now and a few days ago the backlight went out... the screen still worked, just there was no light and i could not see it at night. one day later the entire phone just turned off and refused to turn on. when i press the ON button, the red led on it turns on for a few seconds, then flashes quickly 4 times. anyone know what the problem is? thanks!
besides this major problem, the phone was really good to me.

IMPORTANT: After i tried putting songs on the walkman using Disc2Phone program, i got the same problem as you ppl with the WHITE SCREEN OF DEATH, but luckily.. i left the phone open with the white screen on for around 2-5mins then it automatically opened normally and ma songs are in the walkman.

hey i juz got the w600.... i need help with setting up the voice dialing, i activated the magic word but wen i activate the voice dialing it goes to new command but i cant record nething... and wen i press add, it says no info available.... if neone knows how to fix this prob then plzz help me... thxxx!!!

hey , i got this phoen sat , n got the white screen of death i had to return it for a new one. u dont have to swivel it to anser the phoen .. a draw back of htis phoen is teh screen size its 170 x 220 i believe... most videos are bigger so its hard to find videos that hte phone will play

I just managed to get ahold of the s710 that i wanted forever and found it even though cingular no longer sells it. But then my Boyfriend bought this phone and I still have 30 days to decide if I want to keep the s710 or exchange it for the w600. I love the bigger screen on the 710 and the memory and everything about the camera but i also love the walkman and bass on the 600. I also dont think the 710 has this white screen problem. any advice as to which i should choose? plz i would appreciate it.

Do you need to swivel the phone open in order to answer the phone and talk on it? Would the mic been blocked? Can you leave the phone closed but still dial out of the phone book?

i bought this phone yesterday and it is the bomb. the camera is awsome, the radio is also has a really good sound and the file sharing moves a lot faster than other phones

i was wondering what people thought about the W600 vs the W900, it does a lot more but does anybody who has it think its worth the extra money? also i keep hearing about this white screen of death, does the W900 have the same problem?

i love this phone to death however i've had to replace the phone 3 times.
First phone i purchased the camera didnt even work. Second phone several days after buying it, it erased all messages, immbeded games & apps, and settings. Third phone the bluetooth didnt work properly and goes staticy if the phone is more than 1foot from the device with line of sight.
Is this just the Rogers Wireless version of this phone or the phone in general?
