at last from sony ericsson a top quality joystick because some of there older ones have been dust worthy an easily breakable but will they keep this sort of joystick on its new models hope so ,an auto-focus back with this mobile it should be a top seller

i think that this phone is one of the best ones by sony ericsson the memory is excellent and the battery lasts for ages this is definitly a thumbs up

Thanks papa for the reply but it is not quite right. One of the models without Sleep Mode Clock is w810i (W810 has no sleep mode clock (it has been removed entirely). Instead you have to press the Walkman button or one of the volume buttons ...)) the text from the brackets is from mobile-review.com and I agree with it from personal experience. Check the forums and you'll come across with the annoying black screen of at least w810i. So please guys lets be serous and I expect answer from someone who knows about phones to answer the question If w610i will have the Sleep Mode Clock or it will have again the black screen in the non-active stand by mode. I expect serious answers and not like the one from papa. Thanks guys!

all SE phones have sleep mode clock since the 456 B.C and all of the events like new msg,missedcall any thing will appear in that mode, check your setting.

Will the w610i have the Sleep Mode Clock?
I am asking this because I was very disapointed with w810i not having this useful option and I do not wish to wait another one or two months to buy it and to discover that w610i has the same lack of sleep mode clock option. I am tired of returning SE phones because they do not have this option at least to be able to see the missed events without pressing any
buttons. Thanks!

How many Walkmans Sony will launch? The company should change their name to Sony Walkman, instead of Sony Ericsson. Greedy company,yet a 3.5 mm jack in "WALKMAN" phones.

yes i agree with u. May be as part of weight reduction program they are making such outfits for the phones. i once had w810i and some of my friends told it feels too plastic. but i was happy with my phone. k550i, w610i, w810i are of the same class.. so expect the same..with this phone

i read somewhere that it'll be available by 2nd quarter, hopefully by april. i'll definitely getting this.. i have a moto razr in just a month and i can't stand it anymore, can't wait to go back to se and will never leave again!

same happend with me.. i too lost my w810i after 40 happy dayz. till then i was waiting for a gud phone to replace w810i, i thought of buying w830i, but it's camera don't hav auto focus.. w830i costs around 17k. Mow am looking forward to this phone.. auto focus camera, walkman 2, support for more audio and video formats, above all A2DP. if possible i will buy stereo bluetooth headset from sony ericsson. .. heard w610i will be out soon in market with price around 14.5k...

can anyone tell me how durable this phone is? i was interested in the k550 but when my friend got it i really didnt think that it was made really well for durability. it felt to plastic. is the W610 any better or worse?

SE is making a better styled replacement for the already old W810 and K750. the W610 and K550. but if someone says that the features sisn't change over the old walkman and camera phones.
here:
-new phones are slimmer,smaller and more styled
-the walkman version is 2.0 and the cybershot version on k800 is used instead of the old UI and features in k750.
-the platform enables multitasking java applications and other functions at one time
-the 3D gaming is faster
-A2DP function is present
-backward compatible with older native accessories and also the new ones will work seamlessly.
