I have a question. I like to text people with my Motorola Razr and i am thinking of getting this phone. Are the buttons really bad for texting?

yeah, there areeee many phone with 2mp BUT not identical..
w610 has 2mp but cannt be compared with k750 that has differnt 2mp lens.. in fact, w610 has 3.8mm focal lens compare to k750: 4.8mm
longer focal lens could produce more quality shot..
hey, my w610 louder than k750.. check the firmware.

Why camera quality so bad compared to k750? Both phones r 2 mp camera. And music loudness also low compared to k750 but design and desplay is great. Anybody know wat is da reason?

no using low or high bit rate does not have any effect on battery consumption , it is just because of less space it takes that many people store their music with low bit rate like you .... but to me quality music matters dosent matter if i have 50 less songs stored atleast i have the other 200 with high quality ( its quality over quantity for me) but that's jst a personal opinion
and yes one more thing david no question is stupid it's the ppl who call it stupid are actually dimwitted no one is a born rocket scientist ;) so feel free to ask whatever

@ rick .... then there must be something wrong with the phone itself , ask for a replacement fast if you cant get quality music from w610 then it totally defeats the purpose of gettin one .... i do not own a w610 yet but getting it soon and yeah i have had walkman branded phones they do sound great with the stock headfones provided in the box :)

Okay here comes a dumb question. Does bitrate affect battery consumption? I just want to be sure. I want to put on 64 kbps wma on this fone, thats what I use on my mp3 player. It dosen't sound too bad ( I know many will cringe at the though of music at such a low bitrate). It lets you get more music on the card, and lets face it, those M2 cards are a little pricy compared to transflash/micro sd. I cant fork out for a 8mb M2 card!

megabass n 6+ sound volume, mine not distorted..
sounds crisp? sony recommend use 192kbps music file format.. but, for me, with 128kbps + megabass, PERFECT!
choose w610, not k550 nor w810..

Well, the music has variable bit rate (going from 128 to 320 kbps) and, as I said before, the headset works great on other devices! I have no idea what`s wrong with my W610i, I had a W800i before - that thing had a flawless loud crisp sound... ( so I know how a Walkman phone should sound like)
So,guys,how does the music on your W610i sounds with Mega Bass activated at high volumes? Is the sound in any way distorted?

Try se-nse.net but you have to download a software called Phone XS. It's like opening your phone's Operating System. It's kinda conplicated.

Go for W610 dude...brilliant camera with LED Flash and autofocus..great walkman 2.0..the speaker is awsome..u can even modified the acoustic driver.. i recently check up my friend's new K550 and to my horror it doesnt hv any option on the autofocus in the camera mode...i thought Cyber-shot phone should include that kind of option.. ~sigh~

I bought a W610i recently, but it seems to have a major flaw: when I use the MegaBass feature the music sounds bad if the volume is above level 4. It`s like the headset is breaking apart, the sound that results is awful ( a squeaking & creaking unpleasant sound). I updated the software, but the problem still exists. I tried other headphones with the phone - the nasty sounds are still there, and also I tried the phone`s headphones with other devices - they sound great! So it`s not the headphone`s fault.
I was wondering if someone has encountered the same problem, and if is anything else that I could try... And for those who own the phone, how is the music at level 7-8 with MegaBass enabled? Is the sound distorted at all? (mine is, even with MegaBass disabled)

yes the phone hv the option for the flash light n SOS in the organizer.. it can also play video full screen on landscape mode..

how to apply them, coz it seems there is something different in using them........
