I'm actually quite interested to buy this phone..
but one thing, why does sony make the number lower than other phones, when it even have wi-fi?
makes me confused...

@Pavle: because with 256K colors, the battery has a longer life time than 16 million colors like Nokia has a poor battery life ;)

i already have the w910, but i wanted to get the w890 and this phone looks like a combinatiion of both phones... so im defenitly getting it when its out

NOOOOOOO!!!! I just realized it doesn't say anything about HSDPA on 850 or 1900mhz!!! And I'm stuck here in the U.S.!!!! NOOO!!! Someone please tell me there will be a 'world version' like with the G705?

I can't believe it, I've been drooling over the G705 since it first popped up here at GSMarena, but never even looked at the w705 because it's essentially the same thing. But now that I actually look at the bigger pictures of it, it's really WAY better looking than the G705 IMO. They are exactly the same in terms of features right? I'm not missing anything? I have a W760 right now, which is actually quite nice, but it wish it had wifi, a bigger screen, a flash for the camera (I actually used to use the LED flashlight ALOT when I had a k850), and a video call camera. If the w760 only had all that, THEN it would be great. W705? Problem solved...
PS - this clearly seems like a way better phone than the w760 IMO, anyone know why it's a lower numbered model?

Great looking phone; I'm getting it as soon as it arrives in stores of my city.
I currently have W960 and wanted my next Sony Ericsson phone to have similar sized screen - this one is a bit smaller (2.4 inch instead of 2.6 on W960), but the overall size of the phone is less (thanks to the slider design), so the screen doesn't look smaller.

It is a sweet piece of work.
If you have a PS3 it will pop up as a remote media server through the Wifi too. Called DLNA or smoething. You can broswe your pictures and music then. Cool!

This is the phone that I've been waiting for. A walkman phone with WiFi. I'm glad the phone is only 3.15MP and doesn't have touch screen etc, as I'm hoping it will keep the cost down. As long as it takes decent pictures, I'll be happy. I already have a higher MP camera anyway. Nice features, compact, great looking exterior. Can't wait to get my hands on this! Just hope it's not too expensive.

sab, 18 Dec 2008i think this phone should have a nice camera or like be cyb... moreactually sab.. you can put a 8gb m2 card on this phone if your looking forward to a higher memory. 3 mp is actually is already enough.. exept if you really use the phone for taking pictures..

Make a 5mp camera with ... morei agree with blah blah... people cant get enough.
and again for camera go for C series if your more on music go for W series.. if for busines for G series... for example i use the w595.. so im more on music and videos... and i dont use the camera that much , i even just put the camera just on vga.. 3 mp uses to much memory. hard to upload to internet,

once this phone already availble in the philipines .ill buy it right away.. dissapointed that that i bought the w595 right away.. but so far that phone is good but i like my old phone which got stolen the w910.. as ive said.. once its out ill get this phone.. it has the feature combined with w595 and w910.. with wifi in addition,
