SE has more fanboys than warrants. Its understandable why Nokia has so many; they are miles ahead in market share and the N series phones are feature rich. But SE?

Isn't the port used for listening music, also used for connecting the phone to a computer, charging the phone etc.?
If so, then it definitely makes sense. Although a 3.5mm headphone jack is convenient, it isn't that important.

Why is it that the color resolution of the most sonyericsson unit use only 256K compared to Nokia or LG which use 16M color resolution with the same price.

Yes, SE gives you all that stuff in a box but you do realize those things can be purchased separately from SE right? Why IS that?
The point remains that a music phone with a 3.5mm jack is better than the same music phone without one. A phone with a hot-swappable memory card at the side is better than one that has its memory card under the battery. You do not NEED to have a 3.5mm jack but if all your competitors are doing it and you are not then you are behind.

I knew Nokia released a phone with this functionality before 2 years. But with the same functionality Nokia never beat SE sound and picture quality.

I just want to clear something up here. 3.5mini jacks are nice but this port is much better! Its called multi- functional, it chares via usb or home/car plug but the best feature is using the usb to tether. Using song ericssons desktop software available for free unlike motorolla or lg and other companies. So if you want a holy phone that charges you to tether on the phone go with them. If you want a good device go with sony.

Same UI sony has been using for the last thousand years...
Why can't SE just ditch C, G, and W and make a mobile that has everything. Better yet, how about they start exporting their Japanese phones to the rest of the world? I own a W910 and am a sony supporter. I just wish they could merge several features from each of the walkman and cybershot phones, like the ones this one lacks to make an "anything" killer.

Every mobile company has its policy and phylosophy in building their products.
SE phones are made to endure with Eco friendly materials plus quality components and fashionable designs .. lets stop taking small things into account and such as 3.5 jacks etc.. Sony Ericsson make products that is sufficient for daily use , even enough for people who expect the maximum from a mobile phone .. sometimes i wonder whether we could require all these features in a mobile .. But on the other hand I am a supporter that are and will continue to be the gadget foe all future applications .. so lets stay positive for all companies so they can endure the competition and the progress

SE just like to follow other phone manufacturer's design and function. Wi-Fi, GPS, etc... Almost follow the nokia N series smartphone. If without N series, This kind of mobile phone will not "born out".
