ppl pay more money for this phone b'cas they want the WORTHABLE FEATURES for money.auto focus and gps is not million dollar feature to insert.
ppl pay nearly 16.5k for this phone so they have all rights to ask question.
Valuable money is only for features not for company's design.Even as a GREAT WALKMAN phone not produce a noticable performance in loudspeakers and wifi reciver is hell(autoswith off after an hour of usage)

y is it the calculator and code memo is not functioning.. these are belong in the organizer.. i bought this handphone for 1 month now, i click and click and click but it never open, i tried to resset the settings but there is no changes.. maybe its on the software itself.. so disapointed..

The w705 is the successor to the w890, according to various online news reports from Sony and online reviewers!
It's a media phone, hence Walkman designated phone!
SE finally put in a flash but no AF. Many reviewers complain about the poor pictures, but hey, it's a Walkman phone, not a camera phone.
The w890 takes LOUSY pictures and SE did NOT correct it in the w705 except add the LED flash. Camera is ONLY meant for day shots and close up shots! Nothing more!
Kept my w890 as a backup phone since it still works and has good reception!
Use a digital or regular camera to capture precious moments!!

in wanna buy this phone soon and i would like to ask if the camera is good since it is 3.2mp.
however, i would like to ask how much you got you for and where you got it from. this is because it is 199pounds at carpone warhouse and was wondering if it was worth it. thank you

Brothers, I thank all of you for your great remarks on the w705. Actually i was planning to buy w705. But wanted to know if this phone carries a better bass than its predecessors (eg:p1i). I have now decided not to buy this phone but wait for the next best one or will buy p1i.

anonymous,is it u bought "ap" w705,so tat ur phone speaker nt loud....@_@....i think u r unlucky n bought the phone that with low sound speaker..if urs is ori,sure gt no problem...pls tell me the real whether urs is ori or ap...:-)

i just recently purchased the sony erricson w705 and i am sad to say that its not the best of the sony lot. there are currently many 3.2 mp camera phones and most of them are decent enough to take a photo that you can frame in a 6x4 photo without any problem. w705 cannot, the pictures are just too noisy and 4/10 of the photos i have taken are on a slant half way through the screen. after considering there might be a phone problem i sent it back to base to be repaired, but to no avail, the phone was perfect apparently. the great software and design of the phone doesn't cover for the lack of feature in the phone. also another main pitfall is the new clear bass, etc. modes that i cannot see any change in sound, the mega bass by the predecessors of the original Walkmans by far is still the leader. the c905 being as chunky as it is improves alot more on camera quality. the w595 & w760 improve very much more on the media part. the instant message style sms visuals were quite good though and the phone is still a high performance phone, it has only crashed 4 times in the last 3 months compared to my old c905 (every 3 hours it would crash). the only problem is its not worth the money you pay for it. if your just looking for camera/media phone wait for the satio. its perfect.
