Had my W760i for a day now and its better than my w910. I did the live update thing to get the latest firmware and the first thing I noticed was the improvement in sound quality thru the stereo speakers, wired headphones and especially thru the bluetooth A2DP stereo link, in all cases the phone was much louder and the sound well balanced. A relief considering the pangs of disappointment I felt when I found out that playing the walkman through the bluetooth stereo output into a SE MDR-100 dongle connected to a 60 watts per channel amp and speakers at FULL VOLUME produced enough sound to barely match the whine of my PC's cooling fans. Thank goodness that's sorted out.

I have had the 760I about a month now! I am impressed with the way it looks. It comes with some really cool ringtones. I would of liked it more if it had a headset in the box. it is very stylish, and I like the color. I am however a little worried about the slidre part of the phone,and the keyboardis too small only part of it lights up! I'm not sure it will hold up to my contract. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would rate it an 8!

I have mine set to loop so it plays all the time, but when it got to a certain song it would stop and reboot. I removed the song, and it worked just fine so it must be a bad file that causes it on mine....then again I do download songs from the internet, and we know how some of those files are........

Or Master Reset Ur Phone Like Dolls Said

Could someone tell what is happening please? My 4 month old W760 restarted several times this past week or 2 for no reason... I was listening to Walkman and then it shuts off and then it restarts. Please tell me what is happening!! Thanks.

I got my P1i replaced for this fone, the bastard where I took my p1i for repairing damaged the whole mainboard by flashing a wrong S/W.
Till now this fone is awesome, in performance, atleast it doesn't reboot by itself hehehe. Plays 3d java flawlessly, without a hitch. GPS quite laggy though but still does the job. Sound on handset is to low :( but with headset it's just awesome. Camera is ok, I barely use it LoL :D One thing that bothers me, don't play videos within the media menu it lags, instead just go to file manager and play ure video from there :) BTW if u have VISTA 64-bit good luck in finding drivers for it ;) till now I can't find a proper working vista (64) driver for it.

I've got an unlocked w760 waiting for me at a parcel collection dept, I can only hope that it matches or betters my trusty w910 in the performance stakes.

I have a couple of questions...
1. I have read stuff on this website that I can increase the volume of my w760 phone..i could not understand how to do it...Could someone please simplify it for me??
2. What is this A2 Thing..??i have no idea what it is...Seems to be of good use..How do i get it???
3. Some times my shortcut key does not work...and i have to restart my phone...is it normal..??
Please help...A few links dont work...so i cant sort it out for myself...

navin, 08 Dec 2008how long will it actually take for the A2 uploader to detec... moreinstead of the c button you have to keep hold of the 5 button on your w760i if it still doesnt detect then install the USB flash drivers im sure i gave them with the A2 Uploader :)

I just bought a w760i on ebay for $160 USD and I can't wait to get it. I used to only use SE phones, but I recently started trying out Nokia models and I am currently using an iPhone. The iPhone is pretty awesome I have to admit, and many of the Nokia models (N95, N82) were really nice too. But there is just something about SE phones that I keep coming back to.
Not sure exactly what it is, because I pretty much agree with most Nokia/Samsung fanboys that many SE phones are a bit 'under powered' in terms of features. But what they lack in huge screens and massive CPU's, they more than make up for in user interface and basic features that I actually USE. The thing is, while 'Top of the Line' phone from other manufacturers stress how many features they pack in, they never seem to perform any one feature really really well.
SE gets it right with the Cyber-Shot and Walkman series. They're not ridiculously over-featured, but they do what they claim with no strings attached. All in all, I just love Sony Ericsson phones.
At some point I think I'll get the G705, but I couldn't pass up that $160 price for the w760 on ebay. Glad to be back!
