i got this hp for 6 days..its just so AMAZING! i brought it back to the shop to upgrade the chinese stuff..now i can read chinese and msg in chinese! but this hp cant play wav file..if im not mistaken, nokia can do it rite? and also, i set mp3 as my msg ringtone, it only rings for abt 10 sec..can anything be done to solve the problems i encounter? anyway, i still love my w800 ALOT!

OH i forgot one more ? can you put mp3 songs as your ringtone and could you put like custom caller ringtone???

Hey I got a ?'s about this phone first off can you play the music on loud speaker or whatever it is??? 2nd can you put videos that you have on your computer??? 3rd what is pc sync??? and last what phone would be better the w600 or this one??? PLEASE PLEASE any one answer my questions or email me. oh 1 more can you put the songs you have on windows media player or from where do you put them????

Well John, you dont even have to ask us which one to choose between W800 and W810 in the first place rite? coz you dont have enough money, why would you bother to ask about our opinion?? W810 will cost you more for sure so its up to you.

One thing i can assure, the price u gonna pay for the phone is well worth it. 2mp wif 512mb bundled MSPD, and not to mention the cool design wif funky colour (not every1 like it thou). wat else could u ask for?
the only errors i encounter so far was:-
1) songs go missing when transferred to ur mspd (however its fixed if u update the firmware) *problem solved*
2) the camera sux under yellowish light condition. however it works extremely great under sufficient sunlight!
3) yep, it does corrupt the MSPD. But mostly it is due to the faulty MSPD... go get sony original MSPD.
4)Stains are easily visible, have to constantly clean it. The metallic keypad are easily scratched.

I was so impressed with this phone when I first got it three weeks ago, that was very short lived and im stuck in contract with a stinker of a phone, why did they release this when there is so many possible errors and things that got wrong.
heres what happened to me
Week one
Ordered with Orange on website with half price for 6 months
receoved phone and was buzzin took it to work with me and 2 of my friends signed up on the same deal
Fried memory card ordered replacement
Recieved replacement showing as 25mb
sent back recvd 3rd memory card which wouldnt be picked up by the phone.
Sent new phone orange being helpful as I was still in my cancelation time (14 days)
Week Two
Recieved my second SE and a nasty letter saying if I didnt return the other I would be billed £245
joystick broke orange said its normal
Disk 2 phone software cannot transfer files and does not recognise the phone - Updated Firmware and software,same problems persist
dust under screen
Week Three
Headset stops working and you have to mess about with it for ages to get sound
All my photos dissapeared into to thin air
Flash stopped working
Rang orange to be told nothing they can do as I had passed my 14 day cancellation period and the phone has only minor faults!!.
Ordered Nokia 6280 on Three, no problems as yet use my w800i as a second line but put the 512mb card in my 6280.
one of my friends has more or less the same trouble as me, my other friend has had no problems as yet and is happy however it is only 3 weeks so I guess theres still time!
I am one very dissatisfied SE customer, i loved this phone but I have never regretted buying a product so much in my life ... gutted!

hey john i Think you should buy this phone because its like the same than w810 and if u dont use edge this phone is better beacuse it has more internal memory, and you can close the camera lens (what is realy important)

Help!!
I'm a IMTOOEncoder MPEG user, but I can't convert WMA or WAV music/sounds to MP3 it displays "Fail" when I encode them.
any advise??

RUBBISH the w800i is the coolest. dont believe the put downs...its cool....apart from the dusty screen bit lolololol

Its obvious that the people who are giving this phone praise have not hit any errors.
Trust me the day you turn your new w800i on and find the memory card has been fried or all your songs have dissapeared then youll soon remember what about 40+ people have said on here!

HELP!!!! the w800i is the best phone i ever had.......BUT how do you clean out the dust that gets under the screen. i cant see any way that the phone comes apart? help me please!!!!

de fon is marvelouse,those pasing bad comments abt dis fone are primitives.....read the manual well and u will enjoy de fone,its wow.it does al i want,transfering file from ma fone to ma pc,i mean back and forth file transfer,loading mp3's and stuff.its wow!!!512mb, i luv it.

Design of the phone: Very nice design 5/5
Game: download java game and play for free
insteat of buying those game.
Camera: 2 megapixel!!!,
MP3: very very fast, and the quality are not bad too (sound)

i dont understand one thing...really, jus one thing....those people who claim dat W800 to be the worst fon ever, bla bla bla....dont they do their homework before they buy any phone???....get more info, try out the phone...if u dont like it, den dont buy it!!...and now that u ALREADY BOUGHT da phone (if u realy did, like u claim)...learn 2 love it or jus throw it away, really...stop whining....and do evryone a favour, stop posting such negative comments here, coz obviously about 99% of the people here are W800 lovers...ok??...just do evryone a favour...

Got it 2 days ago. I was afraid of all things what was said on forums. Its great. People said
lots of problems on w800 but i havent found it yet! I hate guys who say "this is the worse phone i ever had my phone (Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Alcatel, Panasonic etc.) is better. You guys are (not all): jelaus or fans of other brands. Dont write about phone you dont have- big rule. Irepeat this is great phone (lots of functions,camera ,sound,display- i watched on it full mp4 movie Star Wars III Revenge of Sith-about 170 MB)
People will trust you and you make less w800owners. I have one question: How to make videos longer than 10 seconds?
