just got my phone a few days ago...i mean my expectations for this phone were pretty high before i got it...now that its on my hands, its so much more than you think. the capababilties of this phone is nearly limitless. The photos are top notch, video recordings are alright, the sound quality using the earbuds are amazing(great bass), it can play videos(i've put full family guy episodes in the phone. although quality is no HDTV, bug its viewable. you make the videos better quality, but the phone just cant cope with it), the speakerphone is handy(you'll hardly use it), and you can install many softwares within the phone to allow it to do many other things. such as msn, web browsing, and the latest software and probably the sickest software i've seen is being able to control your PERSONAL COMPUTER remotely thru your phone. you can literally view your computer DESKTOP live on your phone and run programs and do any sorts of things you would wanna do in your pc.

Somebody tried to connect w800 to pc with win98? Did u succeed in transfering files to/from w800?

Just got my 800i - great functionality, great feel & jam packed with features. The toggle stick is the only extreme annoyance, a 6230i-esque button would have been much better. A great phone, just sadly not a Nokia...

Just replaced my L7 with W800 - a much better product.
Need help with some questions:
1. How to synch Outlook with W800? (using USB)
2. How to download songs to phone - not Memory stick? (songs downloaded to Memory stick can't be used for ringtones assigned for callers, or if there is a way to do this?)

i just got d fone.why d bluetooth can not sent out or receive any message.memory duo stik 512mb card slot inside got 4mp3 does"t active.why!can not play the song .something wrong?

to Adrian, thanks a lot for the help but i would like to ask another thing, the final firmware R1AA008 which you mentioned, issit by the file name
"UpdateService_Inst_2.2.13.7d.exe" in the "product support" link in the SE website?
And does it really get rid of my file transfer problems that some users experience? Just want to double comfirm. Thanks a lot.

the latest and apparently final firmware is the R1AA008 wich i have, you can download it from sony ericsson web site, ,, i can't see a very difference just the pictures are slightly better.

i just got this fone...the features r awesome...sound is not all that god...i would recommed u to use the earplugs to get the best xperience...i am havin slight problem with the synchronising part..best to use a mmc card reader..all the rest r fine..

My husband has a w550 and I have a w800. The w550's loudspeakers are definitely louder, due to its 3 large stereo speaker grilles. it also has an optional stereo surround-feature type.
