belive me this is the shi..iest cell one can have.. why ?
1 . no time display in standbymode. screeens just blacks out.. one has to always clik
some button to see time.
2. calender is again pathetic..reminders cant be asiigned - categories- like - birthday, anniv, meeting etc..
3. in nokia birthday n anniv got repeated each year.. do u have to feed them manually each year..
4. mild ting sound when radio is at low volume..
5. memory stik hangs if u load full 500 MB
plz buy any nokia

I loved this phone, did alot of things very well. great camera, great music player, good UI and cool features like flashlight etc. two things, the keys are too small for me.. a phone like this should have full sized buttons. and the screen and text was too small for me when surfing, since I did a lot of yahoo maps and other online stuff, screen too small. have gone back to my trusty 6682 and the screen looks huge now.

damnn... this phone is awesome..
i bought it today. i installed about 40 games on it and they all work o_O
the cam takes amazing pics in bright light:P
the radio iss..
i can't even describe how pleased i am of it.

I think this phone has very good function, but one thing bother me a lot--- drop calls so often. don't knwo why, is it boz the phone or T-m provider's problem?
also, when i am using the hand free, all my friends complaint that the background noise is too loud... can anyone tell me how to low down the Mic volumn?? thanks, hope to hear you reply soon!

this phone is ok but my question is what is the difference between W810 and W700. as i can see that in W810 EDGE is available unlike W700. Anyway still Sony Ericsson is not better than Nokia while using Internet with PC. Nokia works much better for using internet with PC... still good phone anyways...

Should i wait for this or get an w810i. im sick of my phone and want a walkman phone but i dont know if the wait is worth it. April is a long ways away. any ideas on the price usd? if its more than 300 ill probably get the 810 right now. thanks =)

Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to polish away some fine dust scratches on the W810 screen? Any serious tips out there, please?
Unfortunately I used a plastic cover and it gathered some dust between the phone screen and the cover tself, resulting annoying fine scratches, visible in direct sunlight.
Seriously I used toothpaste, soft silver polish and wax polish, all in vain. If any one has tried other way, kindly email me, as I would like to get rid of them once and for all.

i bought this phone and now it's almost a month, i like the phone a lot...and with the 2gb card i bought...it absolutely rocks with good sound quality on the music side...the mega bass just rocks!!!camera is also very good...with auto focus,macro mode...and a whole lot of other features...but 1 thing i hate about this phone is that it doesnt allow many messages to be saved...around 100-120 msgs(all inbox,outbox,sent msgs combined)...after using for a while wen u want to send sms or recieve one...it'll bug u to delete some msgs...this is really annoying especially wen ur busy....the nokia phone 3100 i had earlier can save much more messages without compromise....the camera also doesnt have a lens cover...which i previously thought it was ok...but now i hav to keep on cleaning the lens wen i want to take a pic....the loud speaker is not loud enough...considering that it has 3 large circular speakers on the back...a nokia phone with a small slit like speaker is much louder....hahaha
But overall...it's good enough...and better than most other sony walkman phones

pros:
-slick, handsome.
-good quality 2mpxl camera.
-bright LCD.
-great speakers on the back for music and speaker phone.
-works well with bluetooth headset.
-fast OS.
-good numeric buttons.
-good battery life.
-
cons:
not very rugged...no rubber protection.
-does not work well with Sony brand Memory Stick Duo Pro. i ended up buying a SanDisk 4GB one that finally worked.
-attached software is cumbersome.
-Cingular ringtones and locks suck.
-not USB 2.0... slow to moves files between phone and PC and vice versa.
-no camera lense cover.
-MP3 player does not organize songs well.
-MP3 player volume is too low to use in a noisy gym.
-MP3 player bugs out at the beginning of some songs that play on other platforms just fine.
-no regular stereo headphone jack. you must buy and use an adapter to use regular headphones or use the lengthy adapter that comes with the phone... too much crap to get.
-camera flash/LEDs is not a flash, it's a bright light that gets blinds people, then it gets brighter when you take the picture, so your subject will be really mad.
-hate the internet button.
conclusion:
agood effort but not an all in one unit yet. Sony Ericsson, please make improvements or you will lose all your market share to other handset and MP3 player producers.
to get this to the point of being usable i had to buy a memory stick (first a Sony, which aren't really compatible with this phone, then a SanDisk one, a case, a short stereo adapter, regular headphones)... too much junk to buy for a phone that's so fragile it might break in 3 months anyway...

one of the coolest phone ever.i have used the n73 music edition,n70 music edition,and this phone.although n73 is a much better phone this phone should not be compared to it.both have different operating systems and different frameworks.it has better sound quality than n73.damn cool phone.

READ THIS!!! great phone but very prone to the white screen of death (wsod) problem. just got my flashed and it's working perfectly. things do to avoid 1) do not disconnect phone from usb cable without using the safe mode 2)do not remove battery from phone while still on. enjoy ur phone.

it is indeed a very good phone with hih quality display and camera. bt as per the specification i could'nt play AAC or m4a file. It can play only files with mp3 extention and nothing else.CAN ENYBODY HELP!PLEASE!
