Why are you guys all complaining about the hiss? If you want music, get an ipod. It's a good phone and you can listen to music or play a vid game when you're bored in a waiting room. It's a PHONE....

thanks for comments. W810 still is a great phone, i'm just upset about the way SE behaves on the hissing issue. I will wait and see if at SE they change their minds for the better and actually come up with a fix or explanation.

the hiss is there, you can hear it at soft songs with silent parts, with the volume down to one. It's no big deal indeed, but SE introduced this bug with a firmware update, and has no intentions of fixing it. They are in denial of such an issue. Pretty good move from a company like SE.

the hissing problem is present in all current w810 handsets. And they won't fix it. Congratulations SE.

Does anybody know how to add contacts onto SMS messages...I used to be able to do it with my old Nokia 6280i, but now the only way I can send contacts with the W810i is by directly sending the business card, which is quite confusing when a friend receives it....

There is a serious hissing problem on W810i which SE just does not accept. It is said to be introduced after a firmware update to fix a sound distortion and low volume problem. And they say with a blank face that they don't know about a hiss Wa. RIP

Guys..... plz let me know how can i increase the sms memory... it only supports 185 inbox messages... i really didnt like that... the only thing i disliked in this phone is its sms memory... if there is any solution... guys plz -plz - plz let me .. know . i `ll be really thankfull to u..

Hello everybody here!! I bought this phone yesterday and its just awesome. Its really rocking.
I want to ask one question from those who purchased this hone just now a days only.
I inserted the memory card in my phone(i got 512mb card free with it) When i pressed the volume'+ & -' in standby mode, it shows me the phone status and it, i read that free memory is just 26 mb where as its shows memory stick as 448 mb only. I have only 5 audio songs in it till now.
Tell is it a firmware problem or their exists some other way t check out the free memory????

I brought this fone 1 months ago. I must say "this is best phone i ever used. I dont need or expect anything more from a phone. n abt sound vol: guys its a phone, not a music system, if u wanna listen music for u, its perfect but if its for other pplz than its diff scenario...camera is perfet for me cos I a not a professional photographer to use photos for business use. I found most amazing option & its the special list of profile setting thsi option will unable u to recv fones from ur selected number......CooL!.....bravo SE..keep rockinG...I am with u (y)

i have this mobile and it's my life.
i love it. is the best mobile that i saw.
the baterry is very good u can listen to music for over 20 hours

I seriously don't understand the fuss about the audio volume of the phone. I'm sitting listening to songs on it right now and it's more than loud enough for me. Maybe if you guys put on the MegaBass you'll have a better audio quality. O and the hissing sound, that someone mentioned, sorry, I don't hear it. :) W810i rocks!

I have read comments about this phone as well as the: E900, D900, K800i and the W850i. All these mobiles are very good but their battery lives suck. I was just wondering what the battery life on the W810i is. I would like to know how many days it could last with using the camera from time to time, listening to the Mp3 occasionally and using the alarm clock and SMS. thanks

@ananth, hey i think it should be better to go for da W810i it has all the features and also the phone looks so user friendly and handy...if u wanna go for a N series go for N73 music edition its awesome...dont go for N70 coz its bit out dated now...

hello ananth, nokia "N" are smart phone and that include many function and you can add more other software for what you want. That is so different from formal Phone. For SEW810i this have good Photo, video quality and Specific Walkman. So think your self what kind of phone.

hi, i am going to purchase se w810i ,, can i know this camera result will be like handycam , why i am asking is , if the camera quality is as like handycam i need not to purchase another handycam, or i can go for normal phone and purchase one hand cam.

@Murat I understand your point of view really. If I had a company sell me what I thought was a defective product and then ignore the problem I'd be pissed off too.
