i didn't change any cam setting.yes..you are rite,once i took picture,its saved by press "view" on right button and i can view it as normal but not shows in pic folder.

It should be saved automatically at the folder. The default is in the memory card but u can choose to save it in phone memory. U can see this in the camera settings. As for the pics w/c fail to save, either you are doing something wrong or there's a problem w/ ur phone. After taking a pic, if u want to take another, u should press the back button, it automatically saves the pic.

@Nouman...sorry I did a typing error, yes the latest firmware (UK) is R4DB005...agree with Carbonize, my battery still stands tall after a week at normal use (so far)...
@blah...if i'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong) a method to shut off the camera shutter sound is by simply pressing the # button to mute the sound b4 snapping a pic, thats 1 good solution!
To confirm battery life, after I did shrink a full complete widescreen 2:06 hr 3GP movie on my SD card, I managed to view the whole movie, after I charged at full, brightness @ 80%, sound @5/8 level and is still going!!!
As for the lens, although it's got no cover but a glass to protect, it is built in at a lower level for more protection against any scratches. A good lintfree cloth (used for cleaning specs) is a wise choice to keep the lens in mint condition for perfect pics! :o)

hey..i got this phone a few days ago...
i just want to ask HOW CAN I TURN OFF THE SHUTTER SOUND? cux when i take pics, ppl around me thinks i am taking a pic of them but im really not. thnx in advance

Its in the camera pictures folder. To access: File manager>Pictures>Camera Pictures

It's been 1 week plus i'm using this phone.Everythng seems goin through very well.Only 1 question here...whenever i took picture using this camera,the photo didn't shows in file manager\picture folder..WHY?? Could someone help me please how to fiz it?

The latest firmware is R4DB005. The best way is to get your device updated at a local Sony Ericsson authorised service centre.

when you're updating the firmware for the phone... do you have to take out the SIM card like how the SE Update Service program tells you to do?
and can anybody confirm the newest/latest firmware? i'm confused because it seems to be different for some people

The w810 is slighty better than the w800. W810 has a larger screen and has EDGE support. But they are both fantastic handsets!

if dont wana waist money then keep or go for w800i lot more better and louder speaker volume then w810i ,dont get stuned by the 3holes at back it just got one speaker but 3holes.sound quality in headset is also not of good quality as the w800i .just got one by selling w800i next day sold it also looks like of low quality plastic is used

Longer battery life? hell mine lasts a wekk sometimes with normal use.
Yes the W810i has no lens cover but I'v dropped mine and generally abused it and no damage to the lens, not even a scratch.
Everyone keeps saying the w810 is quiet yet my ringtones are more than loud enough.
Are you saying the W810 not having a cheap, flimsy joystick is a bad thing? The joysticks were terrible.

this phone is the upgrade of w800 but to me w800 is betta!
w800 has longer standby and battery life
w800 has a camera lense protector thingy
w800 is louder than w810
w810 has no joystick
w810 is the upgrade
now tell me which one sounds better and like the real upgrade!!!
but im still sooo confused because i dont know what to buy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The difference between W810 and W800, is that the W810 don't have something to cover the camera and it have another design.
The W810 have more navigationkeys then the W800, but the stand-by of the w800 is longer then the w810.
There aren't a lot difference between the W810 and the W800, only a few little things...

please dont go for 6280 it has a very poor resolution and the images taken are not good as well,instead get a W810 or 6630.Now can anybody tell me the difference between W810 and W800
