hey dont go for 6280 it sucks,my bro has it the color resolution sucks,pictures taken from the camera suck as well.i,d rather go for 6630 or W810 now please can anyone tell me the difference between W810 and W800

Just got the phone last week and i love it for the features. As far as small size is concerned, i'm getting used to it. Best phone i've ever had......however accessories are hard ot find.

I think there are only 3 ways to upgrade s/w:
1) Go to your local SE service center
2) Use the SE website and download using usb cable
3) Upgrade over the air using your phone. Go to settings>general>update service. This needs internet connection for your phone and not all countries have this service.

hey I was wondering if anybody knows the newest firmware that's out for this phone now? because i hear from this board that there's a new one?
also... is there an easier way to upgrade the firmware? because i have the upgrade software that i downloaded from SE's website. then the program would tell me to take out the SIM card and replace the battery and push C on the phone and then plug in the USB cord to scan for a new firmware. i think this process is annoying. also... i don't exactly have internet on my phone because i'm using the overseas phone but in America. so anybody else knows if i can upgrade it a different way via memory card maybe?

Drag n drop using cable only. Yes. The computer reads the phone as another hard drive. Hope this is straight forward enough for you.
Re: low ringtone volume, i suggest u set the volume to maximum. My ringtone volume is set to 7/8 and is loud enough for me.

man.. read the reviews yesterday and go out and get one.. decided not to go with nokia... now here are the problems i need help witho or this phone is no good..
1. why cant i get a loud ring.. can barely hear it compared to my other phones in the past.
2. when connected to the cars bluetooth ( its built in to the ls 430 lexus) why cant i get the car phone to ring instead of the phone... with other phones on bluetooth in my car the car phone set rings..
3. why does the other end of the phone call now sound muffled over the car speaker.

Can I just drag and drop MP3s into the memory on this phone, and if so do I have to use a card reader or will the phone cable do?
I did look to see if this had been asked before but couldn't find a straight answer.

@ ram buttan, zuko and others....Actual screen size (is not as mentioned in specs here 35mm x 28mm) BUT 38mm x 31mm, I just measured mine! Slightly larger which makes quite a difference a few mm here 'n' there :)
It's a bright screen but lacks a bit in direct sunlight although it has a sensor to set the perfect setting.
About the video converted widescreen 3GP movie(2:06hrs) I installed earlier, will check if the battery can resist it when I get some free time.
Also for all those interested, especially you Carbonize, I just updated the latest software, now it reads CXC1250316 RCDB005.

hey zuko what are you saying that this phone is has a smaller screen is that true..please tell how large or how small the height and the width of this phone in inch please!!!coz i wanna buy my phone by the end of this month i want a large screen in my cell..

All the "W" versions for sony are CRAZY... good looking desine and performance...highly recomended to others

Ello all.
its time to upgrade again, but so many choices. in want a music fone so i had a look @ the Sony W900 and W810i and then went accross the road to check out the N91. and here are the cons of all fones
W900 - WOW what a brick, it looks like wen this is in my pocket im "happy" to see any1. then open it up, u could use it as a shoe horn. But hey its got 3G
W810i - nice size, with nice features, not alot of bad things 2 say really. would be better with a slide and 3G. screen is quite small.
N91 - Looks good on paper, then go and have a look. not as big as the W900 but a brick in its own right. slider seems very flimsy and it reveals buttons that i could use, if i was a toddler, ie there very small. But on a good note it has exellent sound quality, better than both Sonys. and its 3G.
So now i dnt know what to buy, should i just hold on to my V3i for now and wait till something better comes along. SOME ADVISE PLEASE...... CHEERS.

EDGE is the speed of the connection. How you view web pages depends n the mobile browser you are using. The W810's browser is good with HTML or you can install Opera Mini for free.

Does EDGE mean that you can go on any website? So, i could go on the msn website (not the cheap mobile.msn.com version) but the proper one? Because i'm a little confused by the T Mobile Web n Walk ads..cause they make it out like the w810i has proper internet like a pda fing. Could someone plz help me? Thanks! kD
