yes carbonize..I am really sure I selected equalizer
strange..isn't it..obviously it depends if it is an branded phone or not..they installed their own bullshit on it I suppose...maybe flashing it and re-install will fix it

Just moved on from a Nok8800 to this W810i and what an improvement, fast smooth navigation with sharp looks and features. Contemplated the K800 for the 3.2 mega pixel camera & 3G however the W810i with 2 pixel and smaller diemensions will suffice for now as dont like the key design on K800. Not enough mobile video callers in uk just yet.

yeah this phone is great it has a good camera,sound quality,and a good features this is great thanks to sony.after using my nokia phone for year i found that sony has a great design and sound quality.thanx to sony

what is the screen size of w810i.is the screen of this is larger than n70 or it is just like k700i.please

Just got the phone and I have to say the sound quality is very good, probably the best i've heard on any phone.

it won't let me download anyything from my computer and takes at leat 15minutes to search for my phone even though its plugged in. after 15minutes it still hasn't found it then disconnects anyway. its really annoying!! also how many messages can it save

hey thanks alot AUZ...but like you said that some videos wont work on my cell but man none work on it....lol well thanks anyways...i downloaded that xilsoft or whatever you call it...so now i take that software to my cell and then what should i do next....thanks alot man...:)

Oh,it's very nice and is better than SE W800.But if it has 3G and video call support...overall it is best walkman phone for me and for everybody who loves music.

yeah my battery life is pretty short too. i would go through the menus to change settings etc... and the battery would drain about 5% just by doing that. it would drain a bit more if i'm playing a song from the loudspeakers also. i guess this phone drains a lot out of the battery or something haha

please can someone help me about the message capacity of this phone whether bthe message capacity is depended on phone memory or has limited capacity or whether it cab be depended on memory stick bye

I actually noticed that the battery goes down to having half of its 'life' very quickly, especially when I go thru and play with the menu on the phone. However, I don't know after that point whether the battery will keep draining quickly or whether it would actually stay there for a while before going empty. That's because I always charge my phone daily, anyway.

I use my mp3/radio, play java games, text a lot and average calls everyday...my phone lasts 3 days without charging. There might be something wrong w/ your battery, have it checked. Since its already more than a week old, its battery-life should already be in its maximum.

Minor differences between W800 and w810, aside from the looks:
1) Texts - The letters in w810 are thicker and easier to read.
2) When sending sms, in w800, u can only type the 1st letter when searching your phonebook, then scroll down to look for the name. In w810, you can type the whole name thus easier to search.
3) There is no "new events" option in the settings for w800.
4) Internal memory of w800 (34mb) is larger than w810 (22mb)
5) W800 has camera cover while w810 does not.
6) Slightly larger screen for w810.
7) W810 has sensor that adjusts the backlight based on lighting conditions for battery conservation.
8) W810 is EDGE and quadband. W800 is GPRS and triband.

I bought this phone a week plus ago. So far no problem with it but I realised tat the battery life is short.. I have to charge it daily eventhough I did not use the walkman function tat often. I dun really sms much lately. Wonder if there is any fault with the battery.

Does upgrading the Firmware make the Volume Output louder?
apparently there is a NEW Version of Firmware released now!
this phone is NOT loud enuff at Maximum Volume, i have the Nokia N91 aswell, but like to use my W810i sometimes aswell
the latest firmware is R4DB005
anyone got it yet?

GTC when I switch to equalizer it gives me that menu. You sure you are selecting equalizer?

@Carborize: The phone is not loud enough even u got master & ringtone volume up if we compare to W800i & K750. I have used W800i before & it was a real loud enough.

thank you for letting me know that the them is equalizer...BUT...if I activate it I don't see the BIG equalised menu with the big buttons...like you seen before on the picture(link) I posted
anyone know how to get it ??
