Im not a SE employee so I wouldnt know why they release phones w/c still need to be upgraded. But youre right, everything should be fixed before they release it. In fairness to SE, all other brands do the same thing. Name me one brand that doesnt have this problem? It cant be avoided that there will be glitches that escaped their attention. This is why it is adviseable to wait a while before buying newly released models. But for those who couldnt wait, they provide f/w upgrades which is free if its w/in warranty period.

Why does it matter where something is made? Samsung and LG are made in Korea. SE are made in Malaysia.

If you're having problems, just upgrade your phone to the latest Firmware (R4CK003) available from WotanServer.com
I recommend the W810 over the W800 mainly because it looks more cool in black color, also because there is no joystick and also because I've find no problems with my W810.

Hi All...I've got a W810i around a week back...yesterday I've noticed a problem in my mobile...when I'm taking snaps it is automatically coming out of camera without saving the photo and again i've to go to camera...it is not hapenning all the times but it happened nearly 15times yesterday..Did any body faced this type of issue...if so please reply me with the solution....your replys would be of great help for me....thank you very much...

i'm kind of interested in sony ericsson w810 and w800. but i can't figure out which one is good and better and i got some advises from my friends telling me not to get joystick hp since it easily spoilt. any suggestion?

Does anyone know if you can save Text Messages to the memory card? My phone is full, and it would be horrible if I couldn't export them or save them.

Is there anyone who knows or can tell me how to set volume standard even after phone has been switched off ?
Every time I turn phone on again the volume is reduced again..how to set standard high and keep it that way ?

Does this phone actually have a FLASH (i.e one that flashes) or just a LIGHT?????
Also what about if you want to take a night portrait of someone will you damage their eyes if they look at the camera (and thus into the light) for a minute or so while you get the picture set-up?

you know whats annoying about this phone. Its the bloody unwanted protected files. Like that music file 'greeting' omg its so annoying. Is there any ways to delete the protected file on the sony ericsson w810i?

had my phone for a week, just died today does'nt want to switch on, tried another w810i battery, still no power. Phoned Sonyericsson and my Vodacare, no one can help me with a software upgrade!! I lost my obf (out of box failure) period because of this...HELP anyone? where can I find Software for this?

Transfer from your PC to your computer? Errr your PC IS your computer.
If you mean transfering to your phone your phone gives you options when you connect it to the computer. One is for using the SE software and the other just makes it act like a USB thumb drive. Or just take the memory stick out and use a card reader.
